In the bottom left hand image of Luke with the lightsabre, is it me or is the arm coming out of his sleeve the wrong way around. His arm can't possibly grip the lightsabre that way can it?

That can't be right.

Also Jabba's mouth seems to have a little more expression, it's subtle but a welcome tweak that makes him more emotive.
What about the saber clash in front of the emperor as seen in the trailer - is that fixed?

No, but they wasted time and resources "fixing" junk like this and the announcers hand in The Phantom Menace. Then they brag about their high level of quality control while introducing new errors (odd black triangle and even more inconsistent lightsabers). It's not that this one instance is ruining the movie but it's indicative that once again, these beloved and extremely lucrative movies are leagues behind just about every other major release on home video.

Have to admit, listening to the Vader clip in repeat, I'm already use to the damn thing!

I'm not saying I approve of the tampering, but I'm already use to it....

I can live with most of Lucas' various ludicrous tampering, but to add that abomination to such a pivotal and powerful scene is too much.

There have been uncomfirmed reports that a new ride at Disneyworld will feature a modified Sarlacc Pit. In place of the terrifying creature there now lies a giant wallet. Fans participating in the ride can now throw themselves in from the sand skiffs hovering above....

There the money from fans pockets will be digested [invested] for a 1,000 years in the great beasts belly.

Now thats what I call a high-interest account!

I don't know what these transfers look like and I likely won't know until Barnes and Noble slips them into my mailbox a week or so after they're released.

But to say 'it's only Star Wars, there's only so much LucasFilmLtd can do to make it look, you know, good' is a little ridiculous, no?
Sorry but even with that said it’s still a cheaply made movie (was way ahead of its time but 11million is still cheap even in 1977). There is way more to be excited about than mad about. What happed to glass half full?

I agree! And what the hell does it add? Nothing! Vader doesn't need to say "No!" he just needs to chuck the Emperor over the side! Lucas might have well have just cut the entire scene and have Luke, Vader and The Emperor blow up on the Death Star!

Not that I approve, but I understand why he tampered previously - it was to be closer to his original vision. Whilst that was most of the time not a very good thing - at least it didn't really RUIN scenes entirely. But this is just ridiculous.

You'd think Lucas would learn that fans DO NOT want Vader to say "No" cause when he does - people laugh, cry, or refuse to take in the power of the scene.

Rant Over.

Sorry can't I have an opinion now? Sorry for crossing a Lucas apologist and for being in a majority that loved the original scene and finds this addition completely ridiculous and unnecessary. He's ruined the scene.

Not saying you can't have an opinion but it's not that hard of a decision. Draw a line in the sand and be done with it...if these changes bother you.

Hell, they bother me a bit.

Oh, please, someone make some animation of Lucas as the Sarlac Pit creature gobbling up all of our cash.
