AICN has a story about this, too.

I didn't mind all the saber and sound issues with the 2004 set, but with this "Noooo" business, he has legitimately taken a powerful and critical scene and made it into parody. Vote with your wallets, folks. Cancel those preorders.

From the last page. Also, the rips are from the Blu. No question.

Hhhmm interesting. I can live with most of those changes, but I just heard the "Nooo! NOooo!" and it's just awful (let alone unnecessary), it sounds as if someone mixed a "no" from a line Vader said in one of the movies, and combined that "no" with the "NOOOOO!!!" in ROTS.... NOOOOOOOOOO! TT___TT
hahaha ok , but it sounds kinda dodgy to me :/ if it's real then whoever sound mixed that line should be ashamed :/ ... apart from being a totally unnecessary addition, it was badly executed. Or maybe the person doing it, did it on purpose to try do dissuade GL from actually adding it... I think George's real intent is to make the whole saga consistent -- meaning making it equally silly ... D:

[sarcasm]The LOTR EE screenshots were indeed obviously fake. It's not like the match the Blu-ray.com review's screenshots…[/sarcasm]

FOTR EE doesn't seem like a good example of a fake leak.

Depends on what you mean by solved. Vader's saber in TESB still looks somewhat pink to me, especially in motion.

I have no idea what kind of sources they have access to and whether they are reliable, but it seems they believe it to be true:

UPDATE: I have received confirmation from a trusted source that this is all TRUE.

UPDATE 2: I have confirmed that a second audio change, embedded below, is also TRUE. Also, I’ve confirmed that the Ewoks now blink in Return of the Jedi

WAKE UP!
Same could be said to you.

If he was just doing it to make money, we'd have multiple versions released.

The Theatrical Cuts, the '97 Special Edition Cuts, the '04 DVD Cuts, and the '11 Blu-ray Cuts.

Don't you wish sometimes you could just sit down and talk to the guy and ask why he makes some changes. I'm sure he has reasons for doing them but I would like to hear his reasoning, kind of like those Special Edition videos on the VHS.

Wicket has been deprived of his cuteness and now looks rather disturbing. Not as offensive as the 'Nooo... NOOOoooOOOoo,' but still...

It was really nice of George Lucas to add that noooo in the scene, so we know what vader was thinking. I used to think he was trying to give the emperor a piggy back ride but it went badly. Now I know.

Oh, wow. I just heard the supposed new Obi scream. Even though I've always enjoyed the SE's and, somewhat, defended their existence/GLs decisions. This new scream really does sound out of place. I don't hate it but...

It's hard to not want to get a hold of Empire and Jedi to check them out. I really want to know/see all the changes for myself. It's like a treasure hunt!

Re: Wicket. The original version is far more creepy. The soulless glass eyes.

I'll re-paraphrase Quint: "You ever see an Ewok's eyes? They have lifeless eyes, like a doll's eyes."

It would work - he'd gladly get my money. If he put out a 2-disc set for Episodes 4, 5 and 6 in a snazzy slip case that had every version of the movie, just like Spielberg did for the first release of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, I'd pay $40 per movie.

EDIT: Or like Ridley Scott's 5-disc Blade Runner set.

I agree. Instead of being "just a teddy bear", he's now more creature like. A good change.
