I always thought the Ewoks were pretty freaky looking to begin with. Those eyes were like dark orbs in their heads. I think if that is a real change with the eyes, I won't mind.

It was out of being lazy, I doubt he'd fix some things and leave others.

We know he's comments on the commentary about Ben's saber in ANH. About adding the glitches and flashes to the saber and the shot to blend some of the problem issues with the rotoscoping and the weird angle that Ben holds it during one point in the duel. So I dunno, maybe he just doesn't want to replace every shot of the sabers in ANH. And by the time ESB rolls around, Luke's performed matinence on the saber as well as giving it a full recharge.

I'm not Lucas, so I'm not sure where he's coming from in some of these choices. But that could be the standpoint he's coming from. I wouldn't hate it if he made that clear though. He seems to leave things open to interpretation far too often though.

I was talking more about not releasing all the different versions. I'm one of the people who's not really affected by sabers and blasters. I care more about Greedo, the end of Empire and color tones...not to mention the score being drowned out by sound effects. Sabers are the least of my problems.

Don't get me wrong, this particular change doesn't really "bother" me, per say, but it just hardly seems to be worth while to even bother with compared to some other things.

It's a strange tweak. But it does show the size of the door a lot better than the original version.
