Actually, they said they were going to fix the sabers on a case by case basis.

They never once said they were going to fix them all. Just the worst offenders of the bunch.

My guess? Lucas is happy with how the Sabers look... especially in ANH. Perhaps he feels the flaws capture what he thinks would be the result of nearly 20 years of lack of proper maintenence and recharging. Especially in Anakin/Luke's case. Hence why it looks better in ESB, after Luke's addressed those things.

Ok... I have read almost 30 pages about this "Leaked" BD of the OT.
And I also read the MF thread and a new comparative in the spanish site ZonaDvD of Episode IV.

I will only said this... for me, in a very personal opinion, I think is FAKE. The source is the HDTV Broadcast and is a Fan-made. Big Deal. I CAN put a "no" in any Vader scene y added some rocks in others scenes. WooW.

See this: http://www.zonadvd.com/modules.php?n...cle&artid=1203

ZonaDvD Don't have the Blu Rays, the just use the copy is on internet... And you can see there is nothing but an image in 480 to 1080p ... No changes of any kind (color, brightnes, etc.). And you are going to tell me than that is the work of three years?

PD: PLEASE forgive my English...

Actually, having just watched all three movies, the only one they fixed was Darth Vader's saber passing through Lukes in front of the Emperor. All the ugly color and texture changes are still there, from Hope to Jedi, it's the same....

The MF scene was one of the worst offenders and its NOT FIXED!

I hate what he did to the Vader NO scene in ROTJ why waste time one that one scene when you can spend that time on fixing other issues? I know why Lucas went off the deep end.

Apparently their case by case basis results in 1-2 FRAMES in total of the entire trilogy worthy of being fixed.

Will be showing of clips from the Blu-Ray's during this time.

We should have confirmation of whether or not these SUPPOSED true Blu rips are real LIKE YOU ALL CLAIM THEY ARE.

They knew it was a issue and only fixed the single frame they took a screencapture from. It...makes no sense.
They didn't lie, they just fixed it from a certain point of view

BTW where's Kenny he stated that LML emailed him about light saber changes and now the leaks are out and it shows that they didn't get fixed. I guess he doesn't want to face the music that he lied about the Email

Sure it was. It isn't the bright teal color from the DVD release.

It's back to being pretty much pure white. Just like it was in '77.

No, watch it. It's still teal. In the entire scene except ONE shot, the one shot they took the screen capture from.

I still don't see how you cannot see the difference

We are talking about the saber's glow... not the core... right?

Thanks to Inspector Toschi who reported that the PQ is very good, with fine grain and no DNR. And that's just from compressed 720p rips, at 1080p with blu-ray bitrates it should be much better. That's all I wanna know (this is blu-ray forum after all, where PQ/AQ is where it concerns the most). Eager for professional reviews to confirm this.

Gonna get back to life now, will check with you guys again tomorrow. Behave yourselves please.
It took me 45 minutes to catch up from yesterday and I can firmly say that most of the people that post in here never bother to check a page before or even the same page they post on. It's the same comments over and over again...

1. Is there a video or a link to the Vader ROTJ Nooo?

I think I counted at least 17 times that it has been posted and quoted again.

2. I'm cancelling my pre-order

I'm not. Other than some bootleg 720p rips that were supposedly leaked from China, I have
yet to see any proof from LFL that this is happening, other than "oh it's real". If I believed
everything that everyone told me I would have spent a million dollars on food and an underground fortress for Y2K, would have believed that World War III was going to happen, and that George Lucas has a peni5.

3. They're just movies

That's fine that you think that and I'm so happy that you're taking that line all the way to the bank. So I'm going to spend the better part of the day with things that do not really matter and join a website dedicated to something that doesn't really matter all that much to me just so I can stick it to people that do really care about something and are obviously very passionate about it. Bravo Dr. Jack As5.

4. George Lucas raped my childhood

I doubt it. Let's lay this out. Marsha Lucas wanted children but George was unable to perform. They adopted. George could not please Marsha so she found herself a ranch hand that could. George divorces Marsha adopts to droids and vows from that day forward he will make it his mission in life to remove all and any memory of her from his films. Now George claims it was his dog Indiana and not Marshas, as it always was as it always had been. And George has no peni5, so he could not have raped you.

5. I love it no matter what, George is besteresterous the most.

You know who you are and George has spliced in a single frame of him boning you with his strap on somewhere in the 1080p complete Saga. Heck maybe you'll get the lucky one in a million different single frame cel from Best Buy just to prove it. You'll hold it up high, you'll gather your mom and dad down to the basement and show them how their hard earned money was spent and you'll thank them for the best 40th birthday present a boy could ever have.

6. Stevie Wonder doesn't know

I talked to him this morning. I had to call him 12 times before he answered because he couldn't find the phone. Either that or someone had placed a new rock in front of him that he couldn't shimmy around. But Stevie was very superstitious of this new release from the start and is so pissed about the changes to Vader and Obi-Wans scenes that he cut off his fingers so that George may never ask him to write a new song for ROTJ again.

7. That's what an echo sounds like...

Yeah, when you take Sound Forge and mess around with the reverb and echo too many times and forget how to undo things (Ctrl+Z). Yeah, uh-huh... Maybe they should add some nasty ass echo to all the exterior Hoth scenes and anything else that might be outside or in a hall. Hell, I always felt that the exchange between Han and Leia could use a little more echo. Star Wars really lacks that club feel to it. How can I take my ecstacy and feel like I'm in the club if they don't have any sweet echo. I'm hoping that when Lando gets into the Falcon this time in this version he's put a sweet sound system into it, I mean isn't that what's really missing in that scene? And a sixer of Colt 45s hanging from the ceiling and girls in bikinis sitting behind Lando and the pruned alien Nien Numbed.

8. I'm joking

Lighten up. Don't be so serious. It's nothing personal, it's only a business. But this sums up the last 50 or so pages...

Sorry. But I have watched the posted clips and looked at the screenshots.

It looks almost exactly the same as it did for the original VHS release. Pure white with just a smidge of color.

Did you download the new versions yourself and look? How do you know?
Were you alive in '77 to remember what it looked like?

Another strange change to A New Hope, Ben Kenobi's dragon call to scare off the Sand People has been changed again... It's terrible, i think i know what happened to Luke's scream from Empire...

Here's a hint, his light saber color is BLUE not white. Stop making excuses for Lucas! What about the fact that he spent time and money on the Vader NO when he could of spent that time on more important stuff. Whats you answer to that?
