Maybe GL should've had him say "YYYEEEEESSS!"

I really wish he would've fixed the technical problems instead of just screwing around with this stuff.

I wonder if Lucas will now make the case that fans, along with critics never liked his films anyway.

Sorry, but I can't understand how someone could possibly like the new krayt scream as it really sounds likes some guy's voice with some strange twisting done to it afterwards with your cheap sound software.

He's tweaked and modified these films so many times, it's like the cinematic equivalent of what Michael Jackson did to his mug. It becomes almost impossible to remember what it was like back in its original form.

What's crazy isn't just that Lucas can't stop fiddling with the films, it's that Lucasfilms apparantly believes that this is what the FANS want. The BD set is going to contain some surprises, they said smugly... and this was it? This was what you thought we were waiting for? Retorical question: Have they paid any attention to the fan discussions regarding the special editions at all?

I can see it now. More changes in store for the 3D version... The entire saga narrated by Vader... Done by Morgan Freeman.

I can't blame them.

This thread alone has probably made more than a few of us want to have a bath with our toaster.

While it is sad about these changes. We really can't do anything about it because it was the directors intend to change them. But i still will enjoy watching these masterpieces in glorious HD
3rd Place Best Post of the Day.

ON TOPIC AREA:

Wow, holy thread explosion Batman!! Just finished browsing thru 15+ pages & good to see the same old going on.

So glad I ordered the COMPLETE SAGA back in April thru Barnes/Noble for $46+ tax. Like everyone's favorite SW Lover, "Ken", I too cannot wait for the delivery to my door. Everyone else, well, what will they do THEN?! A bunch of "Nah nah, nah nah nah's. WE Told You So!! "

I dunno man... The UK sets are listed with the normal running times...

I must live behind a rock because I had not heard about the latest changes to RotJ. I just read about them in Time and NYTimes, and it baffles me why Lucas continues to revise these.

As someone who only experienced the Original Trilogy from the DVD release it's quite nice to be able to share and understand the rage of older fans.

love this tweet from Simon Pegg:

"I wonder if George Lucas will ever replace himself with CGI. He should do. He's a muppet."

Can anybody please tell what's the matter?

I read on here that BD rips leaked, and all hell broke loose,

I don't want any spoilers, but has it been 100% confirmed that those are rips of the official, upcoming, BDs???

Can we have a summary or sth., as I can't read through more than 100 pages of outcries, after recording 12 hours.

Thanks in advance.

PS: Please use spoiler tags...
It's very simple George Lucas may have

On a serious note, I doubt he changed anything in the prequels, aside from Yoda in TPM. To me, it appears that Lucas wants to blend the OT closer to the PT... not the other way around. Could be wrong, though. And I'll gladly eat my words (unlike two or three people here who consistently denied the OT changes, but where are they now?)

If this box had the original versions I'd be buying it. And if only the separate trilogy set had the original versions I'd be buying both instead of neither. So, more money saved, thanks for making such a shitty product!

As long as they're changing the Obi-Wan noise, why not change it to this?
