Wahahahahaha. This is fantastic.

I love it, it's almost parody at this point. I wonder if all of the fans of the endlessly changed versions will love all of these changes too. I'm sure they will.

Personally I'm holding out for the "ULTIMATE [this is actually the version I've intended all along] Blu Ray" set, I'm hoping for a booming "NOOO!" after every single sentence that Vader speaks, even if it makes the dialogue make absolutely no sense. Every one. Also hoping for Jar Jar's father (whose name is Shit Head I believe) to make an appearance. I hope every so-bad-it's-funny element from the PT is worked into the OT. So basically I hope 95% of the PT is slowly kneaded into the OT. Just gently eased in, really sly like. You start off with some Hayden appearances, you work in a couple NOOO's, and before you know it you're knuckle deep in Jar Jar's father.

Haha! I love that line thats why I used it as my signature! It's ironic now that it represents George Lucas's employees and the people who defend everything the man does!

Honestly. Its hard to fathom that anyone could straight up lie like that, and it makes it hundreds of times worse when the lies are going from a multi-billion dollar company who could have simply done what they said they already did!
That's what I'm most mad about as well. After what Lucasfilm has said I thought all the poor looking saber shots from the OT were going to be fixed. From what I have seen it looks like this is not the case. It's so disheartening to see so many of what are basically unnecessary changes being made while other fairly obvious errors do not appear to have been fixed.

Honestly. Its hard to fathom that somehow, Lucasfilm could straight up lie like that.
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous that the majority of fans were crying out for lightsaber color correction and a few other actual 'fixes' and they spent all their time doing nonsensical crap like making the Ewoks blink.

Just how out of touch are they with their fanbase? I would argue that they simply don't care. The attitude seems to be "it's MY movie and I can do whatever the hell I want to it so there!" It seems like they literally just tuned out everyone planning to buy it, and just had a long list of things that always "bugged" Lucas employees and chose which ones to address.

Blinking Ewoks? What an utter waste of everyone's time and talent. It's just OCD stuff that nobody has ever really cared about or even suggested as a change.

Very disappointing.

As I've said though, still gonna buy it. I want my Star Wars on Blu, as retarded as some of these changes are.

Maybe right now, you're right but once the release date closes in, the Star Wars "itch" will start to happen and the people who have written this release off, will fall back into line.

It's happened every time.

On the other hand, it's even more amusing how the die-hard apologists are just giving a blanket "OMG IT'S AWESOME BEST THING EVER TEN THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!11" to this. I wonder how far Lucas could take this? Replace C-3PO with a Transformer? OMG best change ever! Director's intent! George Lucas! Replace blasters with knitting needles? OMG amazing! What a visionary! Make Luke Skywalker a vampire?! PERFECT! Just what this franchise always needed!

I have a hard time believing these people are even real, and not just trolls/cyborgs/Lucas employees or something.

Vader saying "NOOOOOO!" is 'awesome'? Hahaha. Oh laaaaawd.

Anyway I don't hate this new stuff enough to lose my mind over it like some obviously are, but the hardcore apologists are completely ridiculous in their capacity to just lap up literally every change George Lucas makes, as long as he approves it. It seems like he could just replace the whole movie with a romantic comedy set on Kashykk starring only Wookiees with no subtitles, and these people would still rant and rave about how it's the greatest change ever and really makes the whole "saga" come alive.

He could literally crap in a box and people would still buy it. Hold that... not just buy it, but laud it as the greatest achievement in cinema history and create 2000 IMDB accounts to rate it 10/10.
Hilarious. You just made me spit my drink everywhere

The absolute WORST result of this latest change from GL is whenever any of us now watch the unaltered scene, in our minds, we will be hearing the NOOOO anyway so ultimately GL has won whatever bizarre game he thinks he's playing with us fans. You cannot unring this bell. Only time-travel can achieve that.

Yep, it's true!

I dunno, I think it's hilarious and it really is at the point of parody now, but I still can't help myself from buying it.

I haven't owned Star Wars since VHS and I haven't seen any of them in, I dunno... at least 7 years.

Pretty disappointing. Not the changes so much as the fact that they simply don't care what anyone else thinks.

So, is it true some d-bag here went crying to the mods saying Adywan was offering rips of the Blu-ray and got him banned? If so, that's beyond pathetic. The one guy who actually offers up real facts about how the films are supposed to look and sound gets banned for something he wasn't even doing.

I'm sure there are; I can assure you that I'm not one of them. I am so certain that, if I break my word, I will donate my entire collection to Goodwill.

I liked the change, so now that it's official...cool.

I love that everyone seems to get so mad about it and take it so personally. It's hilarious and pathetic at the same time. There are far more worthwhile things to get stressed and angry over in life. At the end of the day, they're only movies. And don't give me that "raped my childhood" crap. You're an adult now, act like one. Buy it or not and move on.
