Lucasfilm hasn't denied any of this (believe me, they are reading the forums and must be embarrassed right now) and even confirmed the major change that has been found in the leak. Waiting for a review isn't going to magically change what's on the final retail disc.
Why then at numerous times did they say they fixed stuff if they did not.

We've seen the screenshots! Side by side with the DVD screenshots. Color timing is the same. Many matte boxes remain. Lukes saber has 3 different colors in the training scene. What else do you want?

Marketing. They wanted to win over people like us who care about these things so they literally fixed a handful of shots. We all saw the blue saber on the Falcon and got excited. That shot was legit but it didn't paint the whole picture.

There have already been lists posted about the changes in both ANH and ESB.
Any list for ROTJ? I'm guessing that has the most changes overall?

Don't believe some half-ass site who says that nothing was fixed if they are telling the truth then ask them to prove it show us that they have the movies in hand and if they don't then they are lying.

And don't give me that crap about I'LL GET IN TROUBLE LEGALLY IF I SHOW YOU.
right.... cause some reviewer who reviews 50+ discs a week is going to even know what changes needed to be made?

the only reviewers who are even accountable are the ones who check forums like this before they start their review so they know what to look for-

otherwise the reviews will be a praise fest exactly like 2004.

Maybe instead of trying to make the OT match 21st century visual f/x films, maybe the Prequels should have been produced to match late 70's, early 80's filmmaking tech.

Just a thought.
The lion should be redone in cgi!

NOTE** If the person who leaked the scenes has not said anything about whether or not they fixed anything then we can assume they did fix some stuff. Otherwise it would be all over the web by now.
Non-responsive post is non-responsive.

Again, people have SEEN the rips and reported all of these changes (which have now been *confirmed* by LFL). So, what is there left to "prove"? The rips have the new changes ("noooooooooo!") and don't have the fixed FX.

The way some had made it out to be I was picturing Vader to start howling as soon as Emperor started electrocuting Luke. As it is, he watches for a good period and says "No" just before he picks him up.
Exactly, the change is nowhere near as significant as some are making it out to be. Drama queens much?
BTW, in ESB, Luke also has a similar sounding "NO," "NO" when he's reacting to learning that Darth Vader is his father. I would say that was Luke's rock bottom moment.
This is the beauty of the Complete Star Wars saga, everything has precedent, everything ties in together.

What about the crossed-sabers in front of the emperor scene?
I thought that was fixed?

But at what cost? The Original Trilogy has been brought down to the level of the PT, so now the "Complete Saga" is just one long mediocre film series. Gone are the great films of the past. Oh well like I said more stuff for my shrink and I to discuss.

I feel the same way. I think it will be released eventually too. I was really worked up about this yesterday, lol. Now, it's a somewhat frustrated but calm resignation.

I do want to see those deleted scenes. That's what has me on the fence right now.

The audio technology required to record someone speaking "No. Nooooooooooooooooooo!" did not exist in 1983. Or 1997. Or 2004.

They were truly dark times for the world of ADR.

I wonder what Richard Marquand would have thought about the "No...NOOOO!"

And I wonder what James Earl Jones thinks about it, maybe even saying it originally for this scene before it was cut out and now re-inserted?

That was fixed. But numerous other issues, mostly related to the color timing that made everything pink or purple on Vaders saber, remain.

It's probably going to be an upgrade from the DVDs at least.

True. My little nephew and two of his friends were drawn into The Wizard of Oz over here last spring. They were scared at times as expected and thrilled at other moments. Nothing could pull them out of the film and they loved it. Just goes to show a well-made film will always work no matter its era.

I do find it odd today that you have this subset of people that think films always have to be updated regularly to match the latest technology.

You may be right. I never understood going back in time to try and alter older films to match newer films.

You may have already heard this but I remember you asking about the Death Star explosion. I saw another post yesterday at a different board and the member claimed that the blue coloring was gone but the whole thing still had an almost black and white appearance. Just what I read in a post though.
