That's the way I bought them too. That tin was a nice addition, a Best Buy exclusive.

Yeah, the tin is a thing of beauty. I keep some of my gaming supplies in it.

That the same one I have. It came in cardboard not a tin. The tin must be really expensive.

Mine was £50 used.

The first DVD set, released in 2004. I think it was reissued a year later without the bonus disc and new artwork.

The original release of the Trilogy on DVD Boxset from 2004. I think it was discontinued in 2005.

I just went to a couple of used movie/music stores. One had ESB and ROTJ 2006 DVDs for $15 each, new. It also had the 1989 laserdiscs for all three movies for just $2 each. I didn't have space to carry them around but will go back later to get them, maybe tomorrow. Of course, they'll be gone by then!

I really want those 1993 laserdiscs and widescreen 1995 THX VHS tapes.

The 2004 set pictured above. Great bonus disc to have as none of the content, such as "Empire of Dreams" or the trailers, carried over to this new BD set.

Edit-many beat me to it. Sorry for the repeat.

You've got one of those too, huh? Same here. I've got every home video release on every format except the Betamax.

I went against my pledge from 5 years ago and found the '06 Limited Editions on amazon for a solid price today.

I will own the theatrical cuts of the Original Trilogy but I'll probably never watch them.

With the release of this Blu Ray set, I just wanted to complete my Star Wars home video collection. You can't complete it without some form of the theatrical cuts of the Original Trilogy.

-'06 Limited Edition with the Special Editions ('04) and the theatrical cuts.
-'11 Blu Ray Edition.
-'01, '02, and '05 Prequel DVD releases.

I'm done with Star Wars on home video. Three different cuts for the Original Trilogy should be good for the rest of my days...no?
