I still can't believe they didn't fix the lightsaber issues on the MF, when Luke first ignites it.

It's just baffling!

I'll soon see for myself, if those leaks were indeed the final versions.

I like Vader's No though, although it wasn't really necessary.

Note, this is the North European set. Unlike possibly the UK set however, this one has no age rating logos anywhere. The packaging, booklet and disc labels are entirely in English. As with the Alien set, I assume packaging will be localized in the German, French, Spanish, Italian etc releases.

The discs are conveniently placed in a digipack stack that you flip like a book. This slides into a thick & sturdy slipbox. I didn't bother to take pics of every disc.

The booklet has a lot of art as well as a list of the extras. Note, I did not take pics of every page in the booklet.

I don't have capabilities to capture digital screenshots, so I can't help anyone there, unfortunately.

I think he means the starwars spoofs, which are included in one of the extras discs.

Trying to make claims that a Star Wars treatment from 1977 is proof Lucas planned nothing else out but the very first film is complete and utter hating for the sake it's George Lucas. He had far more ideas in his head that would have completely turned off every studio exec and that's clearly seen in the old making of's from the PT. Just like The Matrix was a one-shot deal that blew up big time. the first film was stand alone with an open ending which could lead to something more, or just leave the audience to ponder. Vader's spinning TIE does the same thing. If that was the end of it so be it. Any script found writtne from 1975-1977 would reflect that exactly. Even the scripts for Empire focus the same way as Jedi wasn't a for sure thing.

Movie franchises are NOT made like LOTR or Harry Potter. The post I quoted is simply more pathetic, useless hate for the sake of being a tough guy behind the internet but likely a fanboy grovling at George's feet should they ever meet.

What are you talking about? That big ass LOTR boxset that costs $90, doesn't carry over the extras from the 2-disc DVD releases. This SW boxset is no different from that. If you want all the extras, you need to own more than one release.

And since this treatment really doesn't resemble the finished film, it shows that this whole saga wasn't planned out at that time, which was what I said already.

I think most realists (or non-Lucas apologists) can certainly acknowledge that it wasn't until much later that it became a six-episode story. But treatments (assuming they fail to get funded) can also evolve and change, am I right? Because this treatment obviously changed.

Fascinating that you're a Hollywood writer - I'm sure you have lots of information to share, and as a student who writes screenplays in his spare time, I'm looking forward to hearing anything you have to say. And learning a bit.
