Those screencaps of Eps II & III a few pages back,

Does anyone else get some really annoying ad which won't close, hence blocking the picture?

He says it doesn't look like that on his blu ray copy, but of course he will not post a screen shot. He "swore" he would never post a screen cap again....: rolleyes:

You will have to watch it that way though since thats how P.Jackson "intended" it to be seen.

oops....adamme beat me to it.

Maybe it will convert people over to the dark side by watching that way....interesting discussion for another thread.

Can't you turn it off?

Crs needs to run down to his nearest computer emporium with a memory stick and his stack of Blu-ray's. I'm sure they'll have a PC running with BD software capable of screen grabs.

I'm sure the staff won't mind, it's in everyone's best interest!

If Qui-Gon's beard is authentic then it and Carl Weathers atrocity will be battling for no.1 spot for 'worst DNR application to facial hair EVER!' award....

Have you tried to see if there is a free screen grab program? I am sure that has to be one....

BTW, I believe you on the shot looking the same.....
AFAIK, you have to remove the DRM protection to capture screenshots? I don't really want to bother...

Time will tell that, atleast that Jinn screenshot, more or less is correct (as I've mentioned, check it at 01:34:31). However, I can perfectly understand people not trusting me or don't know what to believe. *I* however, isn't really that much of a Star Wars fans, I like the movies, but I ain't losing any sleep over this, that's for sure. So I don't really care what people believe, to be honest.

They'll just discard every second frame for home formats.

BIG QUESTION

In the deleted scene where Yoda communes with Qui-Gon, is Liam Neeson actually in the scene? Now that we're getting screenshots of the Prequel Trilogy, I suspect someone must have watched the deleted scenes by now.

in AOTC on Tatooine Cliegg Larrs in his hoverchair tells Anakin & Padme that story about Schmi being taken and them trying to rescue her and most not surviving, and that he couldn't pursue it further until his leg heals. So Anakin borrows a speeder and goes looking for her himself.

Film grain is good. Film grain = detail.

DNR gets rid of film grain, reducing detail.

Some studios heavily DNR films, then apply digital noise (that resembles film grain) to hide the fact that they removed most of the film's natural grain.

This is Luke:

I didn't know that you had to remove the DRM. I thought it would be like a mac where you could just snap a pic of whatever is on the screen. I should have known it would be hard with a PC.

Like I said, I believe you and appreciate you trying to settle the debate!

This doesn't work.

Firstly, do I right click the image or the ad?

Secondly, I've tried both, and there's no option to "View Image".

Please tell me you did that to illustrate DNR and that it's not an actual screen from the blu ray. First time post and have been lurking this thread for days and must have missed all these screenshots.
