If the trilogy set had the original versions and the box had the new versions, I'd be buying both instead of neither. So, more money for meth I guess, phew!

After seeing that the video quality for the OT is much like the HDTV caps, its not worth it for me. Even with the 32 Mbit/s encode Empire Strikes back got, there are still visible compression artifacts, frozen grain, color issues that scream for fixing... If it wasn't such a big title, i would be less critical, but come on, Lucasfilm can do better than this. When a proper remastering is done, maybe i set aside my dislike for the special edition changes and would buy it anyway, but not this time.

I don't really care if it sells well or not, I'm not getting a cut, in fact I actually have to pay for it, I just find that surprising, that X-Men is outselling it.

Sorry if this is an ignorant question, but I reiterate, do these figures include the DVD sales or just blu-ray? I assume just blu-ray, but...

It looks far and beyond better than the HDTV versions. But whatever makes you happy.

Not sure where you're seeing all these issues, given the screenshots we've seen.

And if you're judging by those paused inaccurate screenshots, that's a flawed "science" at best.

Everyone is going to buy this set, if you say you won't- it's a lie.

Not a lie.

Why post such a thing? What point are you trying to make? That fans of the unaltered trilogy are liars? That it doesn't matter that Lucas F'd up the trilogy?

I have been looking forward to Star Wars on bluray since bluray came out. And I will not buy it. I don't need to convince anyone of this fact, it is a personal decision that I will stick to.

Edit: I may eventually buy the prequels if TPM is not too DNRed. But I won't buy right away.

Since i got shafted to the bottem of he last page.

As much as i hate 98% of the changes GL made to some of the most beloved movies of all time i relize we will never bet the unaltered OT back. I understand his stance of him makeing the movies how he truly. Invisioned them, but at some point the movies become the fans not his, with that being said im still buying the complete saga.

Did you really type this? Or is this the sentence that George Lucas implanted in your thoughts using Jedi mind powers?

Star Wars holds a special place in our hearts. We just lost our Mom in November, and she's the one who took us to see the movies back in the day. And who used to buy us the toys and such for Birthdays and Christmas. Our Dad was never supportive of Star Wars. Think Red Foreman from That 70's Show. He was never the nicest guy anyway, so that's kinda why RotJ speaks so much to me that I put it above ESB. Just what Anakin/Vader does by sacrificing himself to save his Son. Always choked me up. Still does. But now I'm rambling. But anyway, that's why I'll always hold RotJ in a special place in my heart.
My mother passed away years ago... she took me to see Empire and Jedi on the first day it opened. I remember waiting at least 2-3 hours (or longer) to get tickets for Empire. I also remember coming to the school the next day after seeing Jedi (I was the only kid in the class that did) and I had like 10 kids around me asking me questions. It made me realize really how fortunate I was.

To have Star Wars is better than not having Star Wars.
Some times you just need to stop worrying and learn to love the bomb.

I'm just having fun. I enjoy antagonizing Fanboyz. (Pun intended)

I'm happy for those that are excited about this release. I just chose to cancel my preorder so that I can get another CJ Entertainment Korean Limited Edition Blu-ray.
