Do the separate box sets come with the bonus discs or are the bonus disc Complete Saga exclusive?

I didn't find this any worse than what Lucas added. Seriously.

Since everyone else seems on about the usual...

Yes the 3 discs of extras are exclusive to the Complete Saga Boxset.

I remember a representative of Lucasfilm claimed that the BD releases are going to be the SE's. But if they're changed for the 3rd or 4th time, doesn't that make them different from the SE's?

They said they are based on the SEs.

Truly, you must be in denial.

Gary Kurtz would greatly disagree with you.

Even Rick McCallum knows Lucas is far out of the loop. When Lucas screened the first cut of The Phantom Menace for himself and the crew, McCallum could do nothing except stare at the screen in disbelief, knowing they had a huge turd on their hands. What followed was a desperate director and producer trying to piece together a proper film to no avail.

Maybe they should be called the ESE: Extra Special Editions.

Indeed. Since there's really no such thing as the "Special Editions" anymore. They're the only editions.

The only reason the theatrical release had the "SE" moniker was to make it clear it was a new release.

This is going to be one of those 'from a certain point of view' kind of things, I would think.

As recently as the preview articles a week or so ago the line was there would be tweaks and little surprises but no 'Greedo/Han' type changes.

I think that might have been a bit off the mark but there's definitely plenty of wiggle room.

Or I simply don't see it. But then I don't see the differences between the OT or PT either.

And I care what he thinks.... why? It's just another opinion. A bitter one at that.

Don't know much about movie making, do you? First cuts often get such reactions.

That's because they're often incredibly long (3 1/2 hours) and filled with unfinished effects.

Even Lucas wasn't sure about the first cut. Might want to check out The Beginning documentary.

Yeah, she's "lost the will to live" (while giving birth to twins no less) and that's whats causing it. Either that or the humors in her body are out of balance. Or it's lupus. Maybe some midichlorians from Anakin infected her when he force-attacked her on that lava planet or something? Obviously she had to die to fit the story into the OT, but it was handled horribly.
Dude, she died of a broken heart. Come on.

She lost the will to live even though she knew Anakin was still good and had two kids to care of. Makes sense to me.

Does the unaltered version of the first Star Wars on the 2006 DVD just say Star Wars or is Episode IV: A New Episode still added to the opening crawl?

Which I don't understand why people find so unbelievable. Especially in a fantasy movie with aliens, robots, magic and laser swords.

It's not uncommon in fantasy films. Which Star Wars fits the genre better than it does Sci-Fi. Since it defies Science constantly.

Plus the concept isn't really that unbelievable in real life. You have these great loves that end in tragic ways. My elderly Aunt and Uncle were deeply in love. After she was accidentally killed (long story), he pretty much lost the will to live and passed away a short time later.

You can even ask people who work in the medical industry. A positive attitude and such does promote healing. So I don't see it as so hard to believe.
