Lucas made at least one change to AOTC. Remember Anakin's nightmare about his mom? Well, Shmi provided a voice over for that scene. She is now crying and begging Anakin to help her.

Hmm sounds better than the scene before where it almost like Anakin was having a different dream...

Personally, I think the outfit is one of the redeeming features for the whole movie.

[Show spoiler]
Freudian slip. The masters don't really want to have a conversation, they want to convert us…

I would bet money that Star Wars will be the exception. No offense to you, but its Star Wars.

I think it's just the prequels are not so special to fans (ie. pure hatedom ) so they could care less if Lucas changed them.

This Padme shot being especially telling. Look at her hair... on the HDTV version... it kinda blends together and is kinda "fuzzy". But even though the Blu-ray shot shows some DNR, you can actually see the individual hairs on her head.

http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison.php?id=78493

Same with Mace here... where you can clearly see the lines in his forehead on the Blu-Ray version. And the individual hairs that make up his eyebrows on the Blu-Ray image. Where as they sort of blend together on the HDTV shot.

Sure there are some images, like the infamous "Qui-Gon Shot", that look a bit off. But that shot looked bad originally anyway.

I'm thinking it's very much in keeping with the careful de-graining that was done for Aliens. Which makes me happy.
Yeah the Blu-Ray looked great and I didn't see anything off (I also admit that I'm not as sensitive to it). It brought my excitement up for this set. Can't wait for premieres.

Now, as an adult, I'm fine with Ewoks, Jar Jar, and all the silly stuff. This is a kids movie and so I let it be what it is. Plus, there is so much more depth to the dialog and story that I missed as a kid. I see Anakin instead of just Vader.
Its funny since I am much older now, the kids stuff in Star Wars does not bother me as much as it did when I was a teen

I would be shocked if this release doesn't take the top spot for the week it's release. It's been number 1 on Amazon for God knows how long.

I guess it's a matter of expectation, but I find it bothers me a lot more.

I've seen all the films in their first theatrical release. I never liked the Ewoks, but I could accept them as another lifeform in this particular galaxy. And although the "cute" got piled on a bit thick in that film, it all seemed good-hearted enough.

But when TPM came out, the apparent target audience had suddenly got a whole lot younger and (sorry, I have to say it) slid a fair way down the IQ scale. Jar-Jar was played for yucks, and the Gungans were supposed to invoke s******s because they splutter and spit. The humour in the OT had been endearing and largely character-based, but in the PT it was reduced to fart jokes and "zany" pratfalls. And don't even start me on "Yippee!!" ...

Bahh humbug!!

Ok, i skipped to the last page (728).
The last page i read was 605.
Back then, everyone was trying to figure out if the 1080p/720p leaks were real or not.
Half were saying yes, half were saying no.
Do we have any confirmation as to if they are real/legitimate rips or not?
I hope not, cause a friend of mine downloaded them and A New Hope looks absolutely terrible with Picture Quality, and i'm not just talking about the LightSabers.
There is so much grain and in the first Tatooine scene, the entire colour pallette shifts, and it still looks like all the blacks were very "crushed"
Han's vest (in the LightSaber / Falcon scene is so dark you can't see any of the details in it, like the front or rear pockets, it just looks like a plain vest...

Also, has anyone noticed that when R5 blows his motivator and Luke has his hand on R5, the scene switches to R2, and you can see R5 right next to him, but when it goes back to Luke and the Jawas are taking him away... Small little Continuity Glitch....

Here is an article explaining THX media director.

An interesting quote.

It's must have skipped this, not must "of"
Neither of them proclaimed to have 3 steps of quality control.

Inappropriate? There's Disney channel movies where the girls wear bikinis that are smaller than that to the beach! and since they dont have the cloth hanging down from the waist, they are even more revealing.

Oh, and the Rips we watched were 1080p.
On my 1080p / 120Hz LCD TV...

Yeah, thanks George. Because I just couldn't figure out what was going on. Anakin moaning "No! Mom!" coupled with the dialogue describing the dreams just wasn't a big enough hint.

If anything should've been changed about that scene, it's CGI'ing his arms so they'd be above the covers and it wouldn't appear that he was pleasuring himself. I still remember seeing the flick digitally at a NYC theater back in 2002 and the crowd laughing and howling at that scene.
