I like all 6 movies to a certain degree ... I love Star Wars though, even the EU. I think that just because someone doesn't like the prequels doesn't mean they are not a fan ... a lot of people grew up with the OT for 20 years and were die hard fans, not likeing the PT doesn't make them less of a fan.

These "I am a fan" no "I am a bigger fan" would go away if everyone would just stop replying to them. Stop being trap into it, just ignore them.

Some say very, some say really....... but that phrase is in every movie....

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
"I have a bad feeling about this."

―Anakin Skywalker at Geonosis in the arena, in reference to the approaching execution beasts
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Not sure where you took or got these pictures from, but from the looks of it looks like its from Wal-Mart. Did I see the price right $13. I'm assuming thats for each individual bluray? Wonder how much for the whole set?

$13 is for the Padawan Menace BD. The Saga will be in the $90 range, barring price matches.

Most of the time the picture is filled with detail. The amount of detail is incredible. Everything is so crisp, yet it looks smooth at the same time. Kinda like Episode II + III. I guess that was Lucas' intention with this new transfer. The filmgrain is almost completely gone and the screenshots look kind odd, but don't be fooled by them. The movie looks so much better in motion. It plays in a whole different league. The Tattooine scenes are not as sharp as the rest of the film. The color has been re-timed as well. It looks much more natural and the annoying red/pink tint from the DVD is finally gone. I like its new look very much. TPM has never looked better. Period. Then on to the sound. It's phenomenal. Reference in every regard! The pod race sounds so sick. The same goes for the spaceship battles, the battledroid scene and the lightsaber fights. Dialogue is crystal clear and sounds very natural. The few changes I noticed were executed very well. Overall, this is an amazing presentation of the film. Very happy with it. Can't wait to get the Blu-ray next Friday and enjoy the entire movie!
I hope this is indeed the case!

Sounds promising!!

hypothetically speaking, if someone were to watch these for the first time, should they watch them in order of episode numbers or start with IV?

My bf is from Brazil and much younger than I and has not seen Star Wars. I will show him in the order I saw them which means beginning with A New Hope...

Sorry, but you are correct. And so was Adam_ME:

Thought I gave enough time

It is tricky, cause only one time was "very" added to that phrase. And it was in the original SW!

For me, itīs pretty easy to answer. If you consider yourself a "fan" of Star Wars you have to AT LEAST like all six movies of the saga. I love all the Episodes roughly alike and I love Star Wars. Iīd hesitate to call myself a "fan" because it has been given a bad name in the last 15 years.
LOL so the definition of a fan is someone who likes something "just because" and not for it's actual merits? I believe you're getting "fan" and "fanatic" confused.

Hear that guys? If you're an LOTR fan you have to like the 80's animated movie. If you're a Star Wars fan you love the Christmas Special, the Droids and Ewoks cartoons. If you're a Conan fan, you had to like the new movie. If you liked "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl" but didn't like "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" then you didn't actually like Pirates of the Caribbean in the first place.

Ridiculous. Preposterous. Etc.

Yeah, I just got up and found it there, so I answered it a little later.

Thatīs not at all what I said. I donīt believe you actually have such a hard time comprehending my post so I donīt think you really expect an answer, do you? And please stop the provocation, itīs going nowhere!

Anyway, Iīll make it easy:

A
q: What is a fan?
a: A fan, sometimes also called aficionado or supporter, is a person with a liking and enthusiasm for something.

B
q: What is Star Wars?
a: Star Wars is an American epic space opera six part film series created by George Lucas.

C
q: So, what would a Star Wars fan have to be?
a: A person with a liking and enthusiasm for the six part film series created by George Lucas.

The thing I donīt get is why is it so important to you to be called a fan?

That might have changed... Does anyone know if they added any more "verys" to the BD set?

If they did, I will pull out Photoshop and re-edit my Quiz Slide! LOL

Here is another of the same style -- the answer is different, but it should be less tricky!
