Hmm . . . Is it possible to get this 720p blown up version of the LD Master somewhere?

If you know what I mean?

No need to be obtuse.

Anyone who enjoys something Star Wars and considers themselves a fan is a fan.

Insert any word in place of Star Wars and the result is the same.

Pretty simple.

That picture is hilarious.

Gotta love the creepy Anakin smirk at the end of ROTJ. Especially if you're a masochist.

As I said... itīs a really stupid debate. The term Star Wars fan the way you define it has the problem that you have to explain what you mean by it. You see, it does not have any meaning anymore. The way Iīd define it is pretty self explanatory . Iīd say Iīm a "SW-fan" and people would naturally assume that I like the six movies which are the core of the Star Wars franchise.

What if we got rid of the term Star Wars fan altogether... Maybe Lucas-fan is the better term which wouldnīt require that amount of explanation.

I don't think that last sentence is necessarily true. It might be for other franchises, but with all of the split opinions over the changes to the films over the years, the prequels, etc, I don't think there is a clear cut assumption as to what constitutes a "Star Wars fan" anymore. And what one person assumes it means is probably going to be quite different than what someone else assumes it to mean.

Awesome - from where did you order?

Also, what link are you referring to? If it's about the BDs, please repost.

So then you'd need to like American Graffiti and THX-1138 and Howard the Duck or you don't like Star Wars either?

You're right about one thing: dumb argument, and I'm done with it.

On topic: Can't wait to see these movies in glorious 1080p!

At the very least my local Blockbuster apparently already has them ready to be rented out next Friday so I don't see how other distributors would not have them yet. Just not able to distribute them obviously. I asked the employee since I am holding off on my purchase until the price is below $50, whether she knew if they would be renting them out in store since online it appears they will be. And then is when she gave a laugh and told me they already had them in the back of her store ready to rent them, she did not hesitate or have to think how to answer me so I take it to be 100% truthful.

Chordata, a good post never warrants a response, because it will leave no room for one. What annoys me is when the conversation goes on around it, and the whole point of the post was to try and stop the whole roundabout of drivel this thread has become. The person in question was directly quoted, and then carried on as if it had never happened as it didn't fit the argument. Parts of the post were then used by others as if they had come up with it and then directly quoted by the plaintiff LOL. That IS ANNOYING like 99% of this thread.

I bet no-one even clicked on the link to the video at the top showing how cool the special features are!

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/09/...ve-cloud-city/
There you go trying to be rational...If this thread has tought us anything is that niether side is willing to act rationally (well at least the ones on the most extreme sides).....Its better to just ignore those posts and move along....
Ive seen this happen at a few forums where people who are neutral or like the changes are idiots and the ones who dont want the changes are nitpickers....If everyone jsut agreed to disagree and moved on it would be a much better discussion.....Of cource you till have those that will make backhanded "gneral" comments and then those that feel the need to respond, before you know it you have 10 pages of why did Padame die or PT vs OT....

BTW some of us are trying t avoid as much video as possible as I want to see it when I get the discs .....
