Ugh. I pre-ordered in January, am an Amazon prime member, and my expected delivery date is September 27th. WTF? Even now, the set says "Want it delivered on release day? Order now and choose two-day shipping." What gives?

Same here, I ordered on January 6th 2011, and now mine says September 27th! What the...

I hope it's just a typo. I'll call after work maybe, you should call to see what they say. Remember the big deal they made over that it'll be delivered ON release date? I still have the email from them saying that.....

That's odd. I'm also am Amazon Prime member, but I only ordered last week. My expected delivery date is the 16th.

To be fair both Movietyme.com and Dvd world Usa ship titles up to three weeks before their street dates.

However the major movie boxsets from Fox ie Alien and Star wars always ship a lot closer to the U.s street date.

For example my Alien boxset only shipped one day before the U.s street date,and living in the U.k it took three days to arrive,so I had it after the U.s street date.

If i am very lucky I will have Star wars a few days early,I think Fox do not ship the major boxsets out to retailers that early.

Go into your order, select "Change Shipping Speed" Re-Select 2 Day Prime shipping. and the continue or whatever the choice is. It will update it to release date delivery. The January preorders got locked into the later September release date thatw as originally given out.

Yes I think the sets picture and sound will be awesome,but no matter how good it is,and how many great reviews it gets,some people will still complain.

I am guessing the phantom menace will get the most complaints,but as I have said before the movies picture always looked soft on Dvd.
