I'm pretty sure it will be the same for Star Wars, reviews for Fox titles were mostly published on release day, especially for big titles. I'm sure Casey Broadwater already has his copy and is already starting to work on the review.

My guess would be there's a possible embargo on reviews until the set is out, or advance review copies have otherwise not been distributed.

Casey Broadwater reviewed X-Men: First Class which was released today. The review was just posted a little while ago.

My guess is the soonest there will be a review here would be the 12th when the set is released over seas. That way they can skirt around any embargoes by doing an "import" review.

I really like Cinemasquid. It is an aggregate site, with reviews from many sites, including Blu-ray.com.

It will help make it easier to find all of the different reviews, when 'Star Wars: The Complete Saga' comes out.

FYI.. Ebay has a page all about the big blu-ray release and they are Auctioning a car all panted with star wars image's in black and white. it's kinda cool but I wish they used a cooler car. it's nice they are doing this for cancer research.

I did that and it says delivery date is the 20th?? This is a problem. I have enough credit at amazon to get this set for free, but I will be going on vacation the next week and don't want to put off watching this set by two weeks. Now I'm unsure what to do.

I might just pick up the OT locally and order the PT on amazon. The only special feature I want to see are the OT deleted scenes, but I assume they will be available easily enough online.

Falling for it would imply we don't know what we're getting. And not all of us consider them "butchered".

It's up to each and every customer to decide if they want to buy it or not. Me? I can't wait. The Blu-rays look fabu.

Look, I'm as pissed at the lack of the UOT as the next guy. Probably much more so.

But there's no one in this thread (let alone "you all") who isn't well aware of what they're buying when they plunk down their $79.99 for this set.

That's the key phrase. We all on here know the ins and outs of the release, but a great majority of consumers probably haven't even heard of the changes. Some of them will be pleased, some will be upset, and others won't even notice.

i generally seem to like the changes. of course i grew up with the prequels.

Me too! I get chills just thinking about John William's opening fanfare, and there are so many moments in all of these movies that I'm sure are just going to sound amazing.
