Care to elaborate why you feel that way? I'm just curious, never seen someone list them that way before.

Re: The Laser Gates on Naboo. Check the movie out. Obi-Wan had just done a multi-level force leap up to the walkway where Qui-Gon and Maul were before he started running for the Laser Gates. Plus both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan had already been dueling Maul for a while before that.

So the idea that Obi-Wan was exhausted from both the dueling and the exertion of the force leap are perfectly reasonable.
yeah i don't get it either. ROTS is close to a masterpiece

Righto!

I can't wait for the 'docking bay 94 gun battle' along with the subsequent Falcon blasting off escape scene!

My us set finally arrived today

I can take more pics if anyone wants, but the youtube unboxing shows everything ok.

One thing I noticed in the youtube video was that he said the inner-book was stuck so tight in the case and had to shake it very hard to get it out.. This was not the case with mine, and is probably just a fault with the video-makers version I would presume.

A great site review...fair, balanced and extremely well written

Gonna see what happens with price on the run-up to christmas; i am hoping the individual sets will plummet in price 'cos i ain't paying current price...even if it is Star Wars!

Some info for those that preordered from Barnes and Noble and your order still shows an expected ship date of December 31, 2025. I called them up this morning just to make sure I was still going to be getting the set and they said they had no idea about the error.

They apologized for the error and said it was expected to ship on the 16th. They then upgraded my shipping to expedited shipping for free because of their mistake (still won't get it on release day, but for $44.xx I can wait till Monday.)

So if you still have a shipping date "error" I would recommend calling them up just to be sure and there's a good chance they'll upgrade your shipping too.

What's the matter? Can't you wait 14 more years? Some people here are just to difficult

I can't speak to the ET changes, but as far as SW, he is not alone.

I also like the fact that GL made changes (esp. the Yoda Ep 1 change).

And... I love the prequels.
My kids (ages 8/12/14) all prefer the prequel (I like them all).

Everyone has different opinions and why is it so wrong to like these movies and see them as 6 movies - one story?

Are there cheesy, awful moments in the prequels? Yes. But I can still enjoy them - I just love the action scenes and enjoy them for what they are.

Most of my professors in college did this all the time for determining our final grade. Almost like grading on a curve. Casey obviously thought that this release as a whole package deserved 5/5.
I don't believe in the bell curve. I don't believe in 2 + 2 = 5. I don't read video game reviews. I understand giving it a 5/5 because of the entire package, but say that somewhere in the review.

"besides the major issues with the PQ of this release it is Star Wars for crying out loud so it automatically gets a .5 bump".

It's not the fact that Han shot first. It's Greedo missing from point blank range making him the worst shooter in the galaxy! Not a good reputation for bounty hunters.

Default What's the diff btwn 7.1 vs 6.1 audio?

Anyone know if there is an meaningul difference between 6.1 vs 7.1 audio? I have a 7.1 audio system. From what I can tell googling, 6.1 will function as if it is 7.1.

Happy with the review. Just wish my partner would not have to see the "Nooo....noooo"...takes away the feeling that you're figuring it out for yourself as you watch Vader's body language...

The BD cut looks pretty good imo. To me it looks like Han shoots Greedo which causes him to spaz out a shot, explaining his miss. It's all very quick.

The older cuts with Greedo obviously shooting first were lame though.

Both of your rear speakers will be playing the same audio....

6.1 vs. 7.1 has virtually no difference really.

Well, he was a little excited I think. As much as he said he isn't the world's biggest Star Wars fan (odd for someone to have 'STAR WARS!' as their avatar and NOT be a big fan...lol) he clearly was. He was going to love every second of this release regardless (like a lot of others). So, I don't think he was as objective as he claimed to be. I still stick with my rating on TPM (3.5 out of 5, the devil is in the details and the DNR washed away a lot of detail in hair especially and the CGI characters looked cartoony). But regardless, looks like a good release outside of two of the PT films..lol UGH, I bet wrong on that one!

He can't be any worse than a stormtrooper. Do those guys ever hit anything? And what about that armor they wear, it doesn't seem to be working AT ALL!
