Sorry it's from the Creating the Worlds of Star Wars: 365 Days by John Knoll. It's a fantastic book as well.

The only problem I could see is price point. Not that it isn't a good deal, but some people just don't have $80 to throw down right now. High priced box sets usually do well in total $ales, not so good in units moved.

I am getting pretty excited.
Price wise, its pretty clear that most places will have lower prices in the next few days. Future Shop as it for $79 CAN here till Sunday. I did not check what Amazon.ca as it for since I never planned to get it from them even if it's only $59 since I would not get it till sometime next week and I want this baby in my hands tomorrow

I am sure prices will go back up after that and not see sales until either black friday or boxing day here in Canada

It was in his reference to saying they were taking care of prime members first.

I am not getting discs until next week and I am a prime member.

Just fun and games

4) AOTC is the worst of the six so I can live with this.
5) What frozen grain?
6) The lightsabers look darn good IMHO. Better than the 2004 DVDs that's for sure.
1. The real movies are the ones that I paid to see in the theaters. I would like to see those again in my HT.

2. TPM should have been the best looking movie of the 6. With DNR added it gets some of the worst marks. "mild and selective" or not.

3. I don't really care about the no either, I would like to have the option of the "real" movies.

4. AoTC, teal doesn't bother me, but why do it? I know to increase contrast, blah, blah, blah...

5. Frozen grain is a term used when Lowry digitally scrubbed a lot of the scratches and dirt from the OT via computer. They then go back in and add digital grain. Grain is supposed to "move" because it is random. Watch some of the sky shots in the OT. you will see grain, but it doesn't move....

6. I am sure the lightsabers do look good, but they could have looked better . Why say you are going to fix it and not do a proper job. Oh yeah, they needed to fix wickets eyes, and jabbas door, and add a dug, and add a rock to R2's cave. Those are all things that didn't need to be done. But is would have been nice to fix the sabers. (this is actually a small gripe for me).

I agree he basically carries the entire movie

1) No, those are the theatrical versions.

There's no sense arguing with the rest of your points. My advice is don't buy it and go whine in a corner.

So much for preordering day 1.

Question, does your order status say "Shipping Soon."?

Mine was listed as "Expected Delivery Sept. 20th", but today it was updated to the 16th. If you haven't checked today, I would suggest you do.

Mine does say the 16th but i talked to amazon and they said they don't have any in stock and that it would probably be 19th or after before I get it.

Mine says shipping soon with an expected delivery of 9/22/11-9/24/11. That stinks considering I did the pre-order right after the initial announcement was made.

I think it will be interesting to see how the OT/PT box sets do. They are at a reasonable price (for casual fans) and some might not care about the extras.

Should be interesting. I bet the OT will outsell the PT 2 to 1.

I bet the complete saga will outsell both of the others by at least 4 to 1.

That is a too easy bet to make....

Overall the complete set will outsold everything but most of those only wanting the original will jump on that set and not care at all for the prequels. Those who like the prequels (like me) are getting the full set
