But that's actually the reason. It's most certainly not lazy screenwriting. Obviously the Emperor AND Vader knew (and Lucas) who Vader really was. That was the whole point.

Right, "alive." In quotes, as you put it. Then "Vader" dies and "Anakin" becomes "alive" again. Right before he dies.

Actually I first thought it was due to inflated ego, but someone in here or in another forum said that by continuing releasing different versions make the fans keep buying while if he releases the UOT, many would stop at that.

I don't know, maybe it's greed, maybe it's ego. For me, it's just wrong that the UOT are not out as it's supposed to... meaning giving proper restoration and released for everyone to enjoy.

I think it's depression and a low sense of self-esteem. Otherwise, he wouldn't feel the need to "fix" it all and wouldn't feel like his films don't match up, etc. He'd just confidently release all six films. His past interviews have indicated a low sense of self-worth and this makes the most sense to me. He's still trying to prove himself to the world, as if he hasn't.

They only have 100 episodes planned dont they? So there should be one more season after 4 ends unless they run this season long to make up the 100 episodes.

Theres a new Animation in the works too isn't there? A comedy of some sort, not how that will work out but aparently it's already well underway.

Now all we need is the live action series to finally take off, Lucas has said he has a few seaseons of scripts written ready just a matter of time.

"It's kind of like Episode IV — it's funny and there's action, but it's [a] lot more talky. It's more of what I would call a soap opera with a bunch of personal dramas in it. It's not really based on action-adventure films from the '30s — it's actually more based on film noir movies from the '40s!"

The real question is why? Why was this change even necessary. Out of ALL the changes, I find this one to be the most pointless yet Lucas spent money to make a huge door, more huge? I think this is proof positive that Lucas will continue to dabble with his movies until he dies. Only then might we see the original versions. Once they are in the hands of someone else not so inlove and controlling of his "babies".

Not true if you know where to look. There are a lot of "fanedits" out there provided by purists who despise the changes but love the advancements in technology (AQ/PQ).

peace
Lucas didn't decide until a later draft of ESB to make Luke and Leia twins.

Easter Egg alert!
It looks like a portion of the Holiday special is hidden. The animated cartoon short that debuted Boba Fett.

Oh not this again! :'(

I wish these websites would educate themselves on what constitutes an Easter Egg!

HINT! It's not something that is listed as a feature in the contents booklet and isn't actually hidden! IGN SUCK!

Careful! I posted that link and got in trouble from everybody because "it's not an Easter egg", although I'm pretty sure if you need specific instructions on how to get to it, it is

I haven't watched the cartoon yet - probably will tonight. Looking forward to it!

Lol

My bad!

It is right there though, I mean, I came across it without even looking in the Guide To The Galexy. Of course people wont see it if they dont look at all the special features, but thats their fault

Well, according to IGN, it's not quite as simple as looking through the features list. Check out their step-by-step guide. To me, if it's hidden, it's an Easter Egg. And this appears hidden. Unless you hit Play All, but who has the time to sit through everything?

So do I skip the Clone Wars vol 1 & 2 (samurai jack dude) and go Straight to the movies and new series?

I may follow the lead of some and watch all 3 with audio commentary first as well.

Well, it's easy, it's in the Collection section and its listed as firtst look when you choose the Boba Fett Costume. It can't get much easier than that Especially when you notice that nearly all the Collection items have their own video commentary attatched. And it's labled first look because it's the first look we had of Fett as it was shown before Empire came out.

There for, its listing is The Collection > Boba Fett > First look. It was known about before the release too

Not sure I care, but according to that article, Kayleen Walters, senior director of marketing at Lucasfilm, called it an easter egg.

You could call a a plate of turd a gourmet meal but doesn't make it one

Ever since DVD came about Easter Eggs have always been something thats unlisted in the menu. Meaning you have to push left instead of right or up instead of down at a certain point in the menu to reveal an item that isn't listed anywhere. Thats a proper Easter Egg. If they want to call it one thats fine. Thats their opinion, as long as I can keep mine they can keep theirs
