Where is this 20% coming from? I keep seeing it posted, but I must have missed where is showed that 20% were not buying either due to the price or the changes.

"Get me a beer from the fridge will ya" as just made my day.

Fwiw, I do see couple of small, not quite but close to radial, scratches near the end of the disc (if the center is the end of the disc in this case), so possibly it could be that.

(Also experienced the two video glitches that have been mentioned for II by others.)

I ended up having to play the last few chapters of III on my Oppo and it played right thru the bad part no problemo; ditto for the video glitches on II last weekend. IV-VI are just going to be played on the Oppo, the Panny is hereby retired from its Star Wars chores.

Anyway, any other reports of problems with III?
There is a new update firmware for 35 ,have you did it released on the 1st of august 2011.

I don't get the 30 years ago bit? We didn't get those movie's.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Not only are the sets completely different there were more DVD players in the wild in 2004 than there are BD players in 2011.

Another easy pay day for Emperor Lucas. How soon before he re-releases Star Wars again?

I have a Panasonic BD570 and had problems playing Star Wars as well. During the movies and on the special features disc. I played the Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones through with no problems though, but when I was searching to a chapter in Return Of The Jedi the video would stop and go and then sometimes the sound would go out. I just paused and played again and it fixed it for a short while. Also it wouldn't play fluidly on the special features disc menus. I have a ps3 as well and have no problems on that.

and that dvd set was half the price of this BD.

And he shouldnt act like that difference is an indicator of people's rejection of the new set - In the much larger world of DVD, Star Wars first day sales were nice, but far from record-breaking. At that time, the record holder was Finding Nemo, with 8M sold in first day.

No, no! You aren't looking at this correctly! She's not just some dumb woman who can't see the evil in her husband and that she should just get the hell out of there. It is MUCH deeper than that! With all kinds of mind blowing symbolism! But to understand this you have to understand Greek Mythology, Flash Gordon, the Zodiac signs, how to blend fruit smoothies without needing to follow a recipe, the meaning behind the final episode of Quantum Leap, the concept of Laser Tag (as opposed to the product Laser Tag), and regularly watch reruns of Thomas the Tank Engine and Captain Kangaroo!

Once you understand how greek mythology and the concept of laser tag relate to the meaning of the series finale of Quantum Leap from the view point of Sir Topham Hatt, THEN it all starts to come together and you can understand Star Wars on a much deeper level than you've ever experienced anything before!

I happen to be 31 and I enjoy the prequels quite a bit so I'm not sure I like what you're insinuating there.
