My favourite music theme is the one heard when Luke stares at the binary sunsets. Sorry that I don't have the CDs to find the actual track name - but I love that piece to bits. Probably my favourite moment in the entire saga as well; the music just strikes a chord in me.

Favorite song from the saga? Easily the piece that plays as Luke is standing outside the homestead with the twin suns off the horizon. Just beautiful.

But all in all, the score is the one area I'll give the PT the nod over the OT, eve so slightly.

Across The Stars, Duel Of The Fates, Battle Of The Heroes, Palpatines Seduction, etc....I'd have to say Battle Of The Heroes is my second favorite theme. John Williams brought his A-game to the festivities....too bad Lucas didn't keep his end of the bargain.

Finally broke open my SW box set and watched The Phantom Menace tonight. Let me start by saying I have purposely avoided watching anything SW in anticipation of this moment. No DVDs, no tv (e.g. SpikeHD), nothing. Even with all the hoopla surrounding this release on BD, let me say how comforting it was to return to that galaxy so far, far away. As soon as John Williams score kicked in I was instantly transported there.

The AQ was flat out 100% USDA pure awesomeness. The pod race was jaw dropping. My son looked up at me and said, "dad, I can feel it in my chest." I was so proud. The lightsaber battles were nothing short of spectacular. Like the pod race, when the sabers hit each other, you literally felt it. It's like I was there, man. If the lights were on and my family looked at me at any given moment, they would have seen me grinning from ear-to-ear. A thoroughly great time.

Someone mentioned the closing piece to ESB, I should also mention how much I love the closer to ROTS. Little bit of imperial march, Leia's theme, closing with Luke's theme...and of course quite nostalgic for some.

Glad you enjoyed it Wabo! That audio! You're in luck, because Attack of the Clones is pretty much on par in the audio department too. Unfortunately, RotS isn't quite up there for some reason.

After the pod race I wanted to raise my hands to Alderaan, let out a Krayt dragon whoop, and do the yub-nub jig right then and there.

It's too bad the AQ couldn't be consistent throughout. At least with the PT's anyway. Regardless, I'm looking forward to AoTC.

With all the films, I think my favorite music cue is still the main title. That piece alone has become so identifiable, that even most who barely know anything about "Star Wars" will recognize it. As for each Episode in particular, here's my list...

The Phantom Menace

"Anakin's Theme" - Wonderful piece, including a few references to the future.
"Duel of the Fates" - Every time I hear it, the theme gets stuck in my head.

Attack of the Clones

"Across the Stars" - I'm a sucker for romantic instrumentals, and this is one of the best, period.

Revenge of the Sith

"Padme's Ruminations" - Deep, suspenseful, and a little creepy.
"Anakin vs. Obi-Wan" - The perfect blend of the saga's tragedy and heroism.

A New Hope

"Princess Leia's Theme" - Beautiful, epic piece. Nice and soft, it could easily serve as an alternate theme for the whole series.
"Throne Room / End Title" - Best piece in the film, period.

The Empire Strikes Back

"The Imperial March" - Rousing, memorable beat, perfect for any kind of chase scene in the films.
"Yoda's Theme" - A perfect companion to Leia's cue from "New Hope".

Return of the Jedi

"Luke & Leia" - What can I say? I love slow instrumentals.
"Luke vs. Vader" - Stars in very slow, but it keeps building like crazy.
"Victory Celebration" - Much better than the original ending cue, in my opinion.

I haven't been able to read through the entire thread but anyone else missing the subtitles when Anakin is talking to Sebulba in Episode I? Other scenes too.

Thumbs up Satisfied....

My wife and I just finished watching Return of the Jedi, after spending the last week watching the entire saga from Episode 1-6. It was a blast! After watching them in chronological order, with these latest changes from Lucas in the 2011 blu-ray, I have to say that the movies feel more and more like one continuous story. For us, everything matched up perfectly between the prequels and originals. It was a satisfying adventure.

The only problem now is, what do we watch next??

Call me a Sith, but the AQ is absolutely mind-blowing!

You know what would have been a good change? If the Battle Droids didn't speak. I feel them talking totally ruins them as a screen presence. They would have been a lot more sinister at times without the little jokes and smart-ass quips. Not to mention they are all dumb as a bag of rocks.

Because to me there are no more inconsistencies in the OT as in the PT or in other movies. I'm not watching movies with anger and am looking for mistakes and plotholes. By the way: If the explanation for TESB holds up (they were sending out probe droids through THE WHOLE GALAXY) then you'd also have to except the SAME explanation in TPM: Darth Maul searched inhabited planets in the vicinity of Naboo and found them on Tatooine with the help of his search-droids. What's the big deal!

Star Wars PT didn't even make the top 25 in sales.....
Hold on.....

If Thor outsold Star Wars, how come Star Wars is "shattering records"?

Not by units sold but by sales numbers between the two. Star Wars has amassed more revenue in this release than Thor has.

Simply put, Even though Thor sold more copies, Star Wars has made more money.

Darth Maul finds them within days. The Empire have been chasing the rebels for, perhaps, months-years, and only find them due to an itchy blaster finger. I don't think anybody went into the PT looking for holes; they simply fell through 'em.
