Also, in ANH Obi-Wan doesn't have a mole on his forehead anymore.

I hope in the next release Lucas digitally adds Ewan McGregor's mole to Alec Guinness' forehead. It will help fix that glaring continuity error.

I know! What the hell? This should have been fixed - much more important than fixing lightsaber colors.

I also don't like how Mace Windu shares the same name as Mace from the Ewok Adventures. Mace in the Ewok Adventures came first. I think that Lucas should change the name of "Mace Windu" to "Ace Windu" to avoid the confusion since these two characters are heroic good guys. Maybe they are supposed to be the same character? Is Mace Windu really Cindel's brother? I don't know - this is why it's totally confusing.

And I think Teek should be digitally added into the Tattoine Cantina scenes.

It's because there was no room for them in the sequels because Lucas could only bring back one important side character from The Phantom Menace - and it was decided to be Jar Jar Binks. Who needs the two most interesting characters - Qui-Jon and Maul - in the sequels when you can bring back Jar Jar? Jar Jar Binks is so much more important for the overall storyline - he's the one that gave power to Palpatine.

Thankfully, Jar Jar is a very minor role in II and III. I think it was clear he was supposed to be in every bloody scene offering his "comic relief", but the outpouring of hatred the character got in TPM relegated him to a few scenes... and I think having Jar Jar basically sign the agreement that puts the Empire in power and ruins the galaxy is a metaphor for how he shit on the whole series.

I love the Ep 1 CGI Yoda - that was the most needed change. Maybe some more revisions of the OT - fix some plot holes by minor changes (like Owen talking about Anakin running off to a crusade, etc).
Agreed! I would guess Owen and Beru had a bunch more lines that were cut. I'd like them to be restored in addition to restoring all the deleted scenes (Bail Antilles in TPM, Birth of the Rebellion, Luke and Biggs in Anchorhead), Wampas in the Echo base, etc) and doing alternates (Anakin watching Mace fight Sidious the whole time), and extended scenes (Jango vs Obi-Wan, Jango vs Mace, Dooku vs Yoda), I'd like these put back along with a Qui-Gon voiceover with Yoda.

Extended Special Editions in 2018 has a nice ring to it.

Maul had served his purpose. He was only in TPM to reveal the return of the Sith and provide flashy lightsaber duel. Qui-Gon was only there to show how Obi Wan got his wisdom and he was the one who introduced Anakin to the Jedi order. Besides, Obi Wan was to train Anakin, not Qui-Gon.

As for Jar Jar, he was very annoying in TPM - that I can agree on, but his role overall was far greater than to simply provide comic relief. It was Binks that proposed the Chancellor had emergency powers to combat the Seperatists, thus starting the Clone Wars.

I'd prefer it if all of Episode 3's deleted scenes were put back in as an extended sequence. Taking out Yoda's journey to Dagabah was shocking and I liked the seeds of rebellion/petition sub story, it gave Padmé a greater role in the film and added more conflict to Anakin.

As for episode 2, I would have liked Lucas to have kept the scene when Anakin and Padmé visit her parents' house - imo it would have made their romance a bit more convincing as they would have spent that much more time - and we would have had a look at Padme's past (as seen in the bedroom scene).

Enough is enough already. I don't think Lucas should add anything to either Trilogy at this point. This is subtraction by addition at its worst. Adding new little tweaks here and there are distracting and add NOTHING to any of the films' plots. If anything the films lose quality. Really, rocks in front of R2 did exactly what? That cab ride in TPM, what was accomplished with that?

Deleted scenes are deleted for a reason, they seldom add anything (rare cases where they do work, Star Wars is not one of them) to the film or are redundant.

That was a metaphor that the writer had no control over the script.

Maybe he used his lightsaber to remove it, or it got cut off in a duel.

Nah, it was all that dry Tattoine air.

He's covering it up with make-up. So he won't be recognized, sort of like when Superman puts on glasses.

Glasses = Clark Kent
No mole = Ben

Indeed. All cuts deleted for length and even pacing are an apples and meatloaf comparison when comparing a theatrical run to a home video environment.

Enough is NEVER enough.

That argument might hold true for releases that include theatrical cuts. In those cases there's no real downside to including this, that or the other thing. If it works, great...if not, eh, that's okay too.

But when that cut is the only available cut? No, you can't just throw stuff in for the hell of it.

I like 4-6 better but 1-3 is definately more fun to watch on blu.

The effects, the colors, the sheer amount of stuff going on....really fun.

Very Nice... Very Nice... Nubian! Shame all those sales weren't in week 1. But almost 1 Million Copies in 2 weeks? Amazing.
