In the beginning it was Natalie. The last shot of her in the queens garb was her alone standing at the window looking at the trade federation tanks entering Theed. When she meets up with the jedi she has switched places with Keira. On Coruscant at her audience with Palpatine it's Natalie again. The decoy during her return to Naboo is Keira again... That was already in the theatrical release in '99.

Just the fact it's Keira is what shocks me.

I would have been okay if the Gungans had an entirely different language throughout most of the movie and that was their way of speaking bastardized English, but to make it their primary way of speaking, even to each other, was a bad choice.

Wasn't a plot hole. Wasn't necessary. Not more badass, not from the guy who's "just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe."

Each Morrison delivery is extremely flat and awful, especially the "He's worth a lot to me" and "He's no good to me dead" lines. There's no menace or intimidation in his voice. It makes me laugh how bad it is.

Well it was a plot hole considering Bobba was suppossed to be Jango's clone yet sounded different; and can't a simple man trying to make his way in the universe sound badass?

I don't think speech patterns or accents are genetically determined.

It depends how much he hated Jar-Jar in '99, he may have really hated him....

Keira Knightley in Phantom wasn't that hard to spot.

Keira was the LAST person I would have thought the stand in could be.

Looked NOTHING like her.

damn you guys honestly I was only away for a couple of weeks and now there is no friggin way I can get caught up now. So instead of reading what everyone has been arguing over since release I am just going to offer my thoughts on what I have seen so far,

First I have not watched any of the movies yet, school has been kicking my ass so not much free time. So far I have gone through the OT deleted scenes twice each, I watched the Spoofs documentary, and I watched a couple of the documentaries on disc 9 so far that is it for me. I did manage to watch The Phantom Menace but it took me three days to get through it, partially because of school but partially because I think I have begun to outgrow that one I don't know it was my favorite for a long time but now I just can't finish it anymore.

Or it could be because I just had a big marathon last month on DVD before the movies came out which was probably a mistake.

The special features so far have all sucked in my opinion, the deleted scenes were nice but not even close to what I expected still the best part so far. The spoofs docs had way too many Robot Chicken clips and not enough Simpsons or Futurama there was so much more stuff they could have done and some of that stuff was just not funny at all the tom tom stuff and both the whatshisname pretending to be funny commentator and that other fake news guy neither of those were funny either.

Actually I was surprised they didn't have more SNL clips from the seventies and eighties because I just watched one from back then with Carrie Fisher that would have been better than some of the ones they did have. The robot chicken stuff was the worst eveyrone body already has those dvds so that is just excessive. it should have been like a couple of truly memorable clips and then room for more important stuff.

I did like the part where you get to see the history of a ship from concept to completion with 3d rendering and art and comentarty and all that but some of that stuff felt kind of I dont know familiar.

My plan was to watch the movies right away but time has not been my friend. I am planning on having a run through within this next week when fallbreak comes along but not making any promises. damn it why did I have to pick all hard classes this term I am killing myself and it is cutting into my star wars time grr.

Precisely and considering Jango dies when Boba is still relatively young he could have picked up a different accent/speech pattern easily. It's like saying because Boba was his clone and say taken away at birth he would talk exactly like Jango, would not happen. Person can have family all from the deep South but get adopted to a couple from Boston. Kid is not going to speak/sound like someone from the South.

The change was not needed, and I agree the delivery sounds real flat.

Real flat.

And, if we need another reason to hate the pseudo-Boba voice, they've removed one of Han's anguished cries in order to stick in Morrison's voice when he says, "He's no good to me dead." What utter poodoo.

Oh my God, we're still talking about changes that are years old...

Anyone check out the Kashyyyk/Order 66 deleted scenes and extended animatics yet? So good.

Yeah, like, wow. And the movies are even older than that.

We have to keep talking about them. They remind us that Star Wars wasn't always the way it is. That the films were once better than they are now. That the blind allegiance of Star Wars fans wasn't always deserving of quite so much contempt.

So the only opinion that can be considered one's own is that which agrees with how you feel about the character and not how many others feel about it.

I think that huge piece of hypocracy may just cause the universe to implode.

It's debatable. For me, it's a change much like getting rid of OLME Emperor. Necessary in context to the films.
