Episode I, The Phantom Menace
The Film: 4 Star

Episode II, Attack of the Clones
The Film: 3 Star
PQ: 4.5 Star

Episode III, Revenge of the Sith
The Film: 4 Star
PQ: 5 Star

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
The Film: 4.5 Star
PQ: 5 Star

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
The Film: 5 Star
PQ: 5 Star

Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
The Film: 4.5 Star
PQ: 4.5 Star

* In overall, my favor Star Wars Episode still Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and the least Episode I like always be Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

** Thanks George Lucas his insist changing on Episode IV to VI, the effects/CGI changes made the whole series much more joining. I accepting all the change made, without it, you will had a big feeling on the film downgrading badly after the prequel. I know some big fans prefer the origin as some of it never like the prequel, but I am with George Lucas, the changes is necessary to complete the whole series.
5 for PQ on The Phantom Menace? No.

TPM was the low point of the Saga on BD. I was disappointed at what they did with it. It's by no means terrible, but really, at this point in time, I didn't expect all that DNR.

No problem. I would honestly put it at a 3.5/5. I'd rank them like so in terms of PQ:

TPM: 3.5/5
AOTC: 4.5/5
ROTS: 5/5
ANH: 4/5
ESB: 4/5
ROTJ: 4/5

I noticed something in Episode 1 that I never noticed on DVD though it is not that big. When Qui-Gon, Padme, R2D2, and Jar Jar are leaving the ship for the town in Tattooine Jar Jar says something about the sun going to burn his skin or something (can't remember the exact quote).

Oh dear Lord! Another plot hole and inconsistent blunder! Tattooine has TWO suns!

Aw, my nerd-sense is having a melt down! These are the worste movies ever now! I can't look past this inconsistent plot hole! This is the last straw, First it's Kenobi not remembering R2, now THIS? Ridiculously lazy writing! Why can't every single possible word and sentence analyzed before these films are released?!?

[Show spoiler] Just kidding, I don't care. Star Wars is the greatest Saga of all time, of ALL TIME!

Hehe. I know you're just joking. But for the heck of it...

I'm sure Jar Jar had never been off world. Or seen a planet with two suns. And simply wasn't aware there were two.

I just finished watching the entire saga I-VI for the second time on blu-ray, aside from some scene jumping I've also done a few times. I am very happy with it, for the most part. My only real complaints about the video are that TPM is a bit too soft, and there are still some garbage mattes and other inconsistencies in the OT.

There are also a few minutes in RotJ, from 54 minutes 34 seconds, through 58 minutes, where the image goes back and forth from looking high def, to looking horribly low res and washed out, but as soon as you really start noticing it, it starts getting better, so it's not that big of a deal.

As far as the audio goes, TPM and AotC both have some of the best sound I've ever heard. The surround sound on those two have a very realistic three-dimensional imaging to them, and the LFE(bass) is just amazing.

I was really surprised by the surround sound and LFE on the OT. All three of them have great enveloping surround usage, and much more LFE heft than I would've ever imagined. I did notice some dialog inconsistencies in ANH, but not too much at all. I also noticed that some of the effects and explosions in the OT had a bit of harshness to them, compared to newer films, but I have to admit that I am absolutely blown away by the audio on the OT overall.

One of my biggest problems with the whole set, is with the audio on RotS. On all five of the other movies, I have my side surrounds set at +1.0, my rear surrounds at +1.5, and my subs at +1.0, and all five movies sound very consistently similar, and absolutely amazing. With RotS, to achieve something even remotely like the other five movies, I had to boost my side surrounds to +4.0, rears to +4.5, and subs to +4.0. Even after doing this, the surrounds were more full, but kind of washed out, with very little directionality, and while the subs had more oomph than before, they still had almost no real clarity or definition.

There were still some scenes that felt like the house should be shaking, but there was almost no bottom end at all. I really noticed this on the lightsabers, among other things. I also noticed, as El_Jay has said, that some of the dialog, and just midrange sounds in general, seemed to be missing certain frequencies, especially the lower midrange warmth, which makes it sound a bit tinny and canned. To be honest, it doesn't really sound bad, it just sounds inconsistent, and not up to par with the other five movies.

I am still very, very happy to have this set. It is one of my absolute favorites of my entire collection.

I know the TPM is DNR, but I find it DNR still quite ok and acceptable, thus I given it 4 Star.

Bah... at least get a 4-disc case with a flap in the middle so that the discs aren't overlapping. With these being DVDs that don't have the same protective coating that BDs have, you are just asking for your discs to get scratched!

I also find it surprising that you put all of the bonus discs (3 of which are PT related) in a case with a cover that specifically references the OT (with the term 'Trilogy' on it to boot) with almost no mention of the PT. I thought that went against your Lucas-can-do-no-wrong....it's-all-one-saga religion.

So, if you don't like the prequels it could very well be your own opinion but If you like them It is BEYOND A DOUBT that it is your own opinion... In my personal opinion Episode 1 is the most classic and pure Star Wars-film and if you don't like it maybe this is not your franchise. Not everybody has to like these movies. Move on already!
That is incredibly flawed reasoning. For one thing, as has already been pointed out, there was a lot of positive buzz leading up to the release of TPM.

For another, by saying that it "could" be someone's opinion to dislike the PT, you are implying that some people are either faking it or allowing other things to influence their option. I don't see why the same can't be true for those to like them all. Considering how much some people (such as yourself) around here keep pushing the idea that you have to like all 6 films almost equally to be a "true fan", I could see some people feeling like they have to put up that front to not be considered a non-fan.

This is just another amongst many ridiculous and flawed (and often wrong) blanket statements that you've made about the overall fandom.

It looks like the lady that did Lucasfilm's presentation for the Blu-ray was wrong or had bad info. She said there would be a couple of easter eggs. Apparently not. I don't consider the Fett cartoon to be an easter egg since it's accessible from the menus and the 'Play All' feature, but apparently Lucasfilm has (re)defined the term a bit. It's probably due to the fact that they didn't advertise that extra or include it in the booklet, so they're considering it an easter egg. However, that's just one egg and not the "couple of eggs" that Lucasfilm's Kayleen Walters claimed would be on the set.

Over at HTF, they emailed Lucasfilm and got back a reply that said the Fett cartoon was the only one they knew of.

Agreed. I've only watched Episode 1 & 2 so far and both get a 5/5 for PQ from me.

Gonna hit up Episode 3 today. MUST SEE THE RISE OF VADER!.

These movies are so much fun to watch in proper order and in gorgeous HD. The people that skipped out on this set because of the changes that were made really lost out on this imo.

Well, after almost a month of waiting, it looks like I'll finally be able to see the Blu-Rays for myself, in 3 days' time (a friend ordered it for me as a gift, but ran into problems with Amazon and the shipping company). I'm really looking forward to it, and I'll definitely be posting more, as I progress through the set.

Well if they were as satisfied with smeary DNR'd transfers, to the point of giving them perfect ratings, I'm sure they'd all be satisfied, too. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

I don't see it is that bad. The DNR is just right, it is not that bad till like waxing on it.
