Every possible Star Wars related topic has been beaten to death hundreds of pages ago, so all it is now is a place for people to up their post count and argue. There really is no point in it still being a sticky.

Unstickying it will only mean that the dead horse beating and post-count increasing will continue merely 4 threads down from the top.

None of that will change if it's unstickied. The fact that it bother some people is hilarious, though not surprising given the majority of content in this thread.

One always have to find something else to complaint about Star Wars, give it a while in a few pages you will see posts about how it's Lucas himself that is keeping this thread as a "stickie"

Or Darth Maul and Boba Fett since they're the most boring characters in the Star Wars universe.....

On that note, I find it interesting they originally intended Jango to be all-white to more closely resemble the Clone Troopers (Extras Disc 1, Geonosis part of the disc). They changed it so that he could more closely resemble Boba.

Anakin then hears Obi was tell Qui gun that they all sense he is dangerous. He even tells Qui Gun that he doesn't want to be a problem, way to much emotional stress for a 9 year old. Heck think about the way Mace treated Anakin in all 3 movies. Paps IMO had nothing to do with Anakin turning to the dark side, the Jedi did it themselves.
I was responding to your first set of quotes. I did rewatch it. They never verbally abused him, never said he was dangerous or reckless. I stand by that. You're right, though, Yoda does tell Anakin that his future is clouded, but that is hardly verbal abuse. He's just not able to confirm or deny that he is the Chosen One nor can he foresee if he will go on to become a Jedi.

And yes, Yoda tells him that fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering. How is that verbal abuse? Isn't a basic truth that all Jedi must learn beginning at a very young age to establish their fundamental principles?

Anakin was not in the scene, or at least not within ear shot of Obi-Wan telling Qui-Gon that they sense he is dangerous.

It's not that. It's a sticky for a subject that has irked many for a long time ...."Star Wars on blu". Now that we have nearly 2,000 freakin' pages of comments, the thread is of pretty much no use to anyone.

I held out on buying it until today, when I was finally able to get it at a price I could accept. But that's not news....is it? Maybe.

[Show spoiler]HEY, EVERYONE, BORIS FINALLY BOUGHT SW (yet again)!

Boba himself was originally going to be all white (there are screen test shots of him for TESB) but then changed it, too. Common theme.

Its a good set, you will be pleased with your purchase if you got it for a good price. I am sure you know, but TPM has the worst PQ of the set. So, if you start 1-6, don't think TPM is the standard for the rest of the discs. They really do get better going forward.

Thumbs down Star Wars Blu-ray Audio Problems

I have Star Wars the Complete Saga on Blu-ray and I hear audio clipping pops, crackle and static on audio channel 6 and audio channel 7 of my 7.1 surround system. My Blu-ray player is a Sony BDP-S780 (updated with Sony's latest firmware) and my receiver is a Sony STR-DA5300ES. When I switch the audio output on my Blu-ray player to PCM, the audio defects are gone but sound quality is noticably diminished. I will leave the audio output on my Blu-ray player set to Auto because the sound quality of the automatic DTS HD-Master Audio "flag" is superior to PCM. But 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has got to fix these audio issues when the automatic DTS HD-Master Audio "flag" is used on all Blu-ray players when Star Wars Blu-rays are played. I've returned my Star Wars Saga to Best Buy for an exchange, but these audio problems still exist on the exchanged Blu-ray set. It was a long wait to see Star Wars on Blu-ray. Please let 20th Century Fox fix and replace our defective discs.

The same audio is playing either way, the issue is with the equipment, not the disc.

I don't think there is an issue with the discs as all mine play fine.

All that is occurring is that your player and not your receiver is decoding the audio. There is no difference in the quality or the playback, with the exception of the fact that your receiver is having issues with the decoding.

The discs aren't defective.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say PCM sounded diminished before.

From what I have seen at AVS, this appears to be a return of the DTS Bomb, which affects some receivers when a dts-MA track is bitstreamed from the player. It is a receiver issue.

Meanwhile, decoding in your player will produce the exact same PCM as decoding in your receiver. So, the PCM and bitstream inputs should sound the same. The volume of PCM is often a few dBs lower, which can be offset by turning up the volume on the receiver. Or, perhaps you have set your receiver to process PCM and dts_MA bitstreams differently.
