Do you guys think this will ever drop in price soon? Sadly to say, ive never watched any of the stars wars film before, and im kinda hesitant to spend 90$ on something that im not sure if i would like or not.

Is it really THAT good? or did you have to grow up with it to enjoy it?

U dont need the box if youve never seen it before.

Watch Star Wars and see if you want to continue the series.

Star Wars is the reason why so many films exist. If it wasn't for George Lucas' determination to push the original Star Wars out for release, we won't have films where imaginations is the limit.

Absolutely, the most innovative film of all time. we cant even have Avatar or maybe LOTR without Star Wars inspiration of it. As Peter Jackson quote.

Star Wars is essentially the birth of Special Effects and later Visual Effects and Computer Animation in films. Pixar was previously a computer graphics department in Lucasfilm when Steve Jobs bought it from him. (someone please correct me with the actual name of that department)

So you see how far reaching the film's influence has been over the years. If you can, go watch the documentary "Empire of Dreams", easily the most inspiring documentary Star Wars ever had.

okay, so i just ordered the complete saga on amazon
i watched trailers of the movies last night and they look pretty good.

Now, is it better to watch the movies from episode 4-5-6 then 1-2-3?, or should i just watch them in order? This will be the 1st time im watching the star wars series.

If you have never seen them or anyone else with you never saw them

4-5-6-1-2-3

If you have seen them

1-2-3-4-5-6

Have fun!

I think watching them 1-2-3-4-5-6 is ok... just bare in mind 1-2-3 are not as GOOD as the later ones... so don't give up hope.

I don't think 1-6 is good for a first viewing. The prequels ruin the plot twist in 'Empire,' though to be fair, almost everyone knows what it is anyway.

Definitely 4-5-6-1-2-3.
And don't be put off by the slow pacing of Episode IV compared to the other films. You are now part of film history. Imagine 1977 where films were pretty dull cowboy flicks and along comes Star Wars where science fiction movies were almost unheard of. The special effects back then might seem primitive compared to today's visual prowess, but George Lucas barely had $10 million to work with and 20th Century Fox was so certain that the film will be a financial disaster, they sold the rights to Lucas long before the film had finished production.

Needless to say, that was the biggest mistake they have made and now they are holding and milking every potential money making franchises as they can lay their hands on. Examples? Look at Avatar.

It is, it was part of the 2004 DVD release of the original trilogy. It was a bonus disc with that set.

I disagree. I still think people who haven't seen them should watch 1-2-3-4-5-6.

That way they are saving the BEST for last.
