I'll still love the original prequel and original trilogies. lols I'm still a Han Solo and Luke Skywalker fan.

You still have to thank him for creating these amazing stories.

And i might be the only person who doesn't like him selling out.

Would be nice to see a proper restoration of the OT by Disney. As for the series being forgotten, I wouldn't be so sure. Iger said Star Wars is great for TV. Maybe he just means if the movies stop being popular after another trilogy or two he's not above TV movies, but the live-action series seems likely to finally come to fruition under Disney.

JJ is the best director to take on Trek.

It was a decent sci fi action flick but horrible Trek. Which means it could be decent Star Wars movie.

He is a creative concultant which amounts to producer in name only. Disney wouldnt pay 4 billion to not have final ssy and complete control.

Oh and to those above, i do appreciate Lucas creating the universe and love the original films but he shit all over the universe with the prequels so beyond the original films i dont much care for what he has done to the universe. And before someone says well they are his films. They were and he screwed the pooch. Its someone elses turn to inject some quality into this franchise.

I'm wondering if Joss Whedon will get out of directing The Avengers 2 in order to direct Episode VII... all just to kill off Han Solo.

This is truly astonishing news..I really don't know what to say. I think the new live action series is intriguing. The director choices will certainly be highly anticipated. Somebody give Alex Proyas a call.

I hope this doesn't mean Lucas has health issues. SW has given me a lot of great memories.

Since Disney now owns Lucasfilm, does this mean that the original theatrical versions of The Star Wars Trilogy can finally be restored & released on Blu-Ray since Lucasfilm/Star Wars will be under new management?

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but what does this mean for the clone wars and the dark horse comics?

Id say yes. Disney will probably do a new 4k remaster of the original. They tend to appreciate old films more than lucas.
