Get it down to $50 where it should be and we'll talk. They are still too greedy for what this is priced at. Last years Black Friday $50 rumor never came true - maybe this year - I can wait.

Besides, it's not the dialogue changes that bother me most about that scene, it's the terrible performance from Ian McDiarmid. The Emperor is almost catatonic, displaying neither the cool malice of the old woman/monkey eyes/Clive Revill combo, nor the gleeful theatricality of McDiarmid's own 1983 iteration of the character. It's just so.........dull.
Also, he looks the same as he did in Revenge of the Sith, which happened about 23 years earlier. And then only three years later in Return of the Jedi, he looks completely different.

Star Wars Saga - Best Buy

Star Wars Saga - Amazon
Case in point $70 being far too much even if it was reduced.

True dat...although I'd probably take Mcdiarmid's dull Emperor over the gurning lunatic from ROTS.

Although I like the gurning madman of Sith, I see what you're saying. I wouldn't want him there in the Empire scene either. It would've been nice to see the leering, sarcastic old git from Jedi once again.

Are the Original and Prequel trilogy sets in high demand right now? I am considering selling them.

Not likely, considering both are on sale at Best Buy right now.

Default Star Wars documentaries

Does anyone have trouble with playing the documentaries on the 9th Star Wars Blu-ray? They are playing at 1/6th their normal size in the top left corner. Couldn't find an answer as to why so hopefully I find something here.

Might want to check your equipment settings to see if it's upscaling the SD material correctly.

What player are you using? Usually a firmware update will be required to fix said behavior.

Looks like it's time to watch the first six episodes of the movie series again. Say what you want, but I've actually enjoyed the prequel trilogy, although, it's not as good as the original trilogy.

Agree. Ive started watching the whole lot on blu for the first time so I started with The Phantom Menace. Yeah its not perfect. Yeah Jar Jar Binks is still annoying. Yeah there are a few holes and little Anakin isnt a great actor (but hes not annoying). But I enjoyed it more than I have ever done I think.

Yeah. I feel the same you do. When you ignore Jar Jar Binks and Jake Lloyd, the movie really isn't that bad. Even the Gungans aren't that bad, once you ignore Jar Jar. Boss Nass has some of the funiest lines of dialogue in "The Pahntom Menace". I even enjoyed "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Jedi".

While I'm sure there are bound to be some laughs, giggles and chuckles ... maybe even some heckling, I like the prequel trilogy for what it is, the background storyline about the origin of Darth Vader, how the Jedi Knights came to be such an extinct group and how Anakin became a Jedi Knight and the baddest villain to ever grace movie screens.

While it certainly isn't better than the original trilogy, nor could it ever hope to be, the prequel trilogy just fills in the gaps of what we were left with and simply answers a lot of questions as they pertain to Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and the Jedi Knights.

Far as the new films go, I don't think that they'll add anything of substantive value when they are released. While they'll expand the movie universe, I think Episodes I-VI simply completed the story that Lucas began back in 1977. I just think JJ is concentrate more on the special effects and in sensationalizing these films than in coming up for a good story.

Just watched Attack of the Clones (first time on blu) and...I enjoyed it a lot! Im sure the better PQ and AQ on blu is making a difference to my opinion but despite the cringey 'romantic' bits it was a blast. Time just flew by for me and it seemed better than I remembered it from a couple of years back. The CGI in the main looked great - a noticeable jump up from Phantom Menace.

Im watching them in chronological order so it only gets better and better..On to Sith next and then the original trilogy. Cant wait!

Wal-Mart had a misprint.

(Actually $29.96, but I wasn't going to complain about the 3 cents.)
