That won't happen, but if the originals ever make it to Blu, they will most certainly have a limited theatrical run first - and most likely before the new movie.

Naming is wonky across all the movies. As I mentioned earlier: Yoda is mentioned in TPM and appears on-screen but the name is never associated with the character. For being intended as the first viewing Lucas expects you to know that the little green guy IS Yoda somehow.
Boba Fett's name is mentioned in Jedi by Han: "Boba Fett, Where ?!?" I think the line was, in the battle at the Sarlaac Pit.

In Jedi definitely but not in Empire. Same goes for the name "Anakin" which wasn't uttered on-screen until Jedi as well. You quoted a two-year-old post so I don't remember if I pointed it out but the name "Palpatine" is also similarly unused in the OT itself as is "Lars" and the term "Sith." It's pretty remarkable that these things made it out via merch and stuff to the point that most fans don't realize they weren't used in the films.

Could anyone tell me why this hasn't gone down in price yet? I've been waiting two years to get this but it's still ridiculously expensive. Also how different are Original Films in comparison to the 1997 SE's? Those are the only versions of the films I've seen and have never owned any of the DVD's. I honestly don't care about ever seeing the films as they were released in theaters because that isn't Star Wars to me.

The word Ewok is never once uttered in Return of the Jedi, either.

There should have been a campaign in the 1980s to release the Skywalker Twins from captivity ...

In order for the new trilogy to be successful, they need to be movies made for adults. Why? Because kids will like it no matter what! Space ships, the force, light sabers, blasters, aliens, etc. How can a kid not like this stuff? Make the story mature, kids will like it and adults will like it.

On a side note, they should get Charles Dance to be a Sith Lord

Charles Dance would be good. Ian McKellan would also be a good choice.

Considering who the new director is, making it for adults is a tall order. If it comes down to some cool effects or some deep dialogue, bet on the effects winning. But I do agree that they need to take a more mature tone - no fart/poo jokes, etc.

It will be tough to top Ian McDermid and Christopher Lee's performances either way.
