Positivity and constructive criticism would probably yield better results.
A petition might held. The one I saw was full of negativity and hatred, so I decided not to sign it, but if it were written in a civilized way, I would gladly help out as well.
There was a guy named Go-Mer Tonic who used to troll Star Wars boards saying things like that -- he played a rabid SW/Lucas/Prequel defender so well, to this day I'm not sure if he was sincere or faking it. But yeah, he'd say things similar to the above and then engage in the most epic board wars you've ever seen.

Default Possible OUT Bluray release?

Looks like there's a new Bluray release for the OT being worked on.

http://www.rmwusa.com/ (projects, restoration)

You can also see shots from the new 4k master in their demo reel.

Looks WAY better than the current crap Bluray. Now the BIG question is if it is the Unaltered theatrical versions. I would guess it would have to be since the SE was done at 2K, but we'll have to see for ourselves!

Those shots look great! Here's hoping that the rumors prove true.

Comicon is right around the corner and Lucasfilm has quite a big presence at this year's Con. Here's hoping for an announcement!

Default It's the ultimate fanboy's dream...

Which probably means it's too good to be true. True Lies, Abyss and Star Wars (Unaltered) getting 4K masters and actually becoming available to the consumer-going public? Let the angels sing, but I'm not holding my breath.

Not to pop anyone's bubble but Reliance has posted clips of their "remastering" of the Madonna Blond Ambition tour on youtube but it never happened.

Well, the new True Lies and Abyss have been playing recently on HBO and look fantastic! They'll probably be released this fall.

At the 2:54 moment in this video on RMW film restoration shows the blue escape pod hatch in the 1977 Star Wars. Maybe it's a new transfer of the theatrical version?

Well, obviously they are doing something with Star Wars - whether this is the original or special edition remains to be seen I think, but keeping fingers crossed. However, surely something is going to be released at some point ahead of the next movie.

Maybe Star Wars OT will be a 4K format launch title?

Hey, I can dream, can't I.

(I know it won't, because they probably want to milk it as much as possible on blu-ray first... then double dip again if/when 4K ever gets a foothold)

Disney, if you release the UOT on blu-ray before Episode VII I will go see the new film 10 times in the theater, buy all the toys/merchandise and even eat at all the nasty fast food restaurants you do cross promotion with.

Reliance MediaWorks mention a 4k, 16-bit Restoration so it looks like it's definitely in the works. I can see the originals getting this treatment with the prequels getting an Up-Conversion to 4k.

Not to drag this off topic but I wonder if the problem with Madonna's Blonde Ambition Tour being released as anything to do with her changing labels? Perhaps legalities are holding it up?
