Jango Fett was cooler than Boba. Jango kicked Kenobi's butt in one of the best fights ever.

Hayden is not that bad of an actor. Yes, he sucks, but look at him in the scenes with Palpatine when he talks about Darth Plagus and look at his emotions when Padme tells him she is pregnant.

plus he's supposed to play an emotionless jedi. thats why he acts so "wooden"

...Right.

Wouldn't it be much more likely to be due to the combination of bad screenwriting, bad direction, and bad acting?

I think bad writing and direction is the cause of bad acting. Look at Natalie Portman. She is an incredible actress in things like V for Vendetta, Black Swan, and even Leon The Professional. Put her in Star Wars and you would think they just picked her up off the side of the street out of desperation.

I wasn't crazy about Season 1 of the Genndy Tartakovsky series...just seemed like a lot of action without a strong plot. Never saw the second season.

In other Star Wars news, Disney Interactive just released a new SW game for mobile devices and tablets called Star Wars Commander. It's Apple's "Editor's Choice" this morning, and is already #1 on iPad and #4 on iPhone.

Yet Ian McDiarmid just killed it in Revenge of the Sith.

A bit over the top at times, but still pretty decent.

Ummmmm.....he's great when he's Palpatine, not so much when he becomes the Emperor because he starts chewing up the scenery like he hasn't eaten for a week, and he'd win the world gurning championship with some of those faces that he pulls.

If it works for folks then that's fine, but I was expecting to see the bitter, sarcastic old sod from Jedi make a reappearance, not this OTT uber-hammy version.

I never thought Boba Fett was anything special to be honest. On screen, I'd have to say his father was a bit more entertaining than him. And he actually did more than Boba ever did on screen.

Are you kidding? She's awful.

The films you listed are the exception rather than the rule.

that all could be true to. don't laugh but i thought R2-D2 and C-3P0 along with Palpatine were the best acted characters

I thought McDiarmid was fantastic in Episodes I & II, but really hammed it up in Episode III. Wasn't a fan.

And Natalie is gorgeous.

he did a great job when he was toying with Windu. he was scary lol. i was like, "just kill him already please" but then i realized his plan was to get anakin to turn on Windu so he needed to kill time before killing him. i hope he's in the new movies somehow.

to me Star Wars is about the rise, fall and hopefully rise again of the Empire. i'm not really interested in all the jedi crap.

i agree. Boba Fett did nothing except he was cool as a kid. Jango Fett kicked kenobi's butt and is the only Fett that matters
