Palpatine subjugates his entire planet to slavery just so he can get elected. creates a war and runs both sides of it just to stay in office. manipulates everyone into doing his bidding. Nearly causes genocide on multiple species. Really good political allegory. Granted some of the acting fell flat, but it did in the Originals as well.

I would only say they improved the model, but it still looks off and unnatural....to me something is only "fixed" if it is completely corrected, which unfortunately never seems to be the case where these movies are concerned, no matter how many times they are tinkered with!

I think you might need to go back and rewatch Empire if this is what you think it is about.

Probably because within the 2500+ pages of this thread I have made already made the argument why the first three films are superior to the prequels. I don't feel like rehashing it again and again.

I never said I hate the Original Trilogy.
I grew up with them.
I felt that way (my post) about them my whole life.

I like more story and deeper meaning in my movies. Especially SAGA/Multi-Part movies.

I do enjoy the loud, flashy bang zoom, popcorn, escape out of real-life-crap movies too.

There is so many things wrong with the above analogy I am not even sure where to begin. Hmmm..Empire wants revenge because they are trying to crush the Rebellion? Maybe? From the first frame in SW we hear that the Emipire is hunting down the Rebels?

My suggestion and this is just a friendly suggestion is follow the link below to SW enlightenment. It will open a whole new world to Star Wars fans and maybe give a new perspective.
