So the Anakin we get at the end of Return of the Jedi should be an older looking Hayden. And that's what Lucas did. Though to be fair what he should have done was age Hayden up to look the appropriate age that he would be at the time Return of the Jedi takes place and not keep him looking like his young Revenge of the Sith self.
Yeah, I agree that an "older" Anakin portrayed by Hayden would make sense, but so does the younger version, to me, we have now because Anakin was no longer Anakin during the time he put the suit on. Good thing is they can always go back now and add an older Hayden, or do it sometime in the future. I'm still hoping for a Force Ghost Anakin in one of the new movies conversing with Luke. Even if just for a few seconds.

If you want an older Anakin ghost, go back to Sebastian Shaw. He's so much older it's not like you'd known what Hayden would look like at his age. Or just look up any picture of an old pervet at 60 with shaggy hair, and there you go!

Why not digitally mesh Hayden and Sebastian?
They did it to Jake and Hayden...

Exactly - And George Lucas no longer owns these movies, so I wouldn't look for any revisionist stuff done to these films anymore.

Agreed. It never has.

While they are at it, maybe they can add some Snowtrooper ground troops to The Battle of Hoth. Missed opportunity there.

No, because people can look different as they age, so there would be no problem keeping the original scene without changing it. Also, it makes very little sense, because Obi-Wan Kenobi stays the same old man. So Vader reverts to his younger self in ghost form but Obi-Wan doesn't? Lucas screwed up the scene by adding Hyden. It makes absolutely no sense now.

I wouldn't mind seeing some SnowTroopers on the ground during the Battle of Hoth...
But only if the are close to the Rebel Trench!

I got a much more novel idea. How about restore the films to the way they were, the way they are loved and remembered from way back in the day?

That's because Anakin died when he was young. Obiwan died an old man.

Anakin didn't die though. He was horribly scarred, disfigured, etc, but he didn't die. He lived quite a few years more until dying at the hands of the emperor. When Luke takes off his helmet in the Death Star scene he didn't look like a young Hayden, so why would his ghost revert back to when he was a kid?
