4-6. Then I'd say a few weeks later watch 1-3.

If you have never seen them before, ( if true, WOW, just WOW ) 4, 5, 1, 2, 3 then 6.

I vote 1-6. It's the chronological order, and I think makes the most sense especially with movies 7-9 about to come out. You also get the added bonus of ending it with the best movies.

Chronological order is fine if you've already seen them. To watch them like that would only take the power of Vader away and some of the mystery of the past hinted at ( Clone wars etc ) and the potency of the shock reveal in Empire.

While it takes away some of the surprises, I feel like it could also add something. There'd be an "aha" factor to seeing events referenced, characters returning and knowing their background, etc. The "shock reveal" I'm sure he already knows about anyway.

The big Vader reveal is already ruined by the new Vader/Emperor exchange in Empire if you watch them in the order of 4,5,6,1,2,3.

Hey, if this is really his first time, and he watches in chronological order, I wanna know what he thinks of the ROTJ "NO," and Hayden's pervy head?

I really don't remember that line being in the film. Sounds too deep for Star Wars lol!

I have a friend (well, actually more a friend of a friend), that hasn't seen the Star Wars films, and doesn't want to see them under any circumstances!
(he doesn't like sci-fi. Although he did see Interstellar and said he liked it).
I don't know what to do to persuade him!
I mean, we're talking about the most famous films in history!
(actually we would watch only the unaltered original trilogy! Nothing else! )

Does he like fantasy? If he does, tell him Star Wars is more fantasy than sci-fi and he might become interested.

No, I don't think so.
He likes dramas and mostly romantic dramas.
Actually, generally he doesn't like watching films at all!

Which seems extremely peculiar to me that I live for films!

Oh, well I suppose that explains it. It's too bad the romantic scenes in Attack of the Clones, the one with the biggest focus on romance, are so corny. There are some small moments between Leia and Han, maybe try to tempt him with that.

Watch 4-6 first. It's the best way and it's the way that most of us saw them

Small correction: Watch 4-6, then a few weeks later watch 4-6 again. Rinse and repeat as desired.

As for 1-3, you can make a mobile out of them for above a baby's crib or something. That way the PT discs can still entertain their intended audience without you even having to watch them! It's a win-win.

Watto was subbed...

No, they were a Trilogy (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) and then 15 years later three vastly inferior disappointments (Episodes 1-3) were released to cash in on them while irrevocably dividing the pre-existing fandom and nearly destroying the franchise's brand equity.

Seriously though, why would you want a new viewer to slog through six hours of crap before getting to the first good movie in the franchise?
