At least she's aiming for his head rather than two feet over his shoulder.

Any reason you like Yoda vs Dooku? I found it pretty terrible, partly down to the cringe-inducing dialogue at the start but also because the fight itself isn't very exciting or threatening. It's just Yoda jumping around while a guy with Christopher Lee's composited face waves his sword up and down.

The Yoda vs Emperor fight, while saturated with poor effects, is a lot more dramatic and dangerous feeling.

Sorry, but I am not buying this. I don't care for the books. Only the movies count for me. This sounds utterly ridiculous to me.

There is just no "thrill" in the lightsaber sequences in the PT for me because it's all complete digital trickery. Except for Ray Parks, everyone else is either a completely fake digital character or had their heads replaced on other folks bodies.

That said, I do enjoy the Yoda fights - but in the way I enjoy any animated sequence, not a well-executed live-action fight scene.
Are you just trolling, or do you really have no idea what you are talking about?

Ewan, Hayden, Samuel Jackson, and all the other under 70 year old actors did most of their own fights, and they trained very hard for them, especially Ewan and Hayden for ROTS. Might wanna check out those DVD extras.
Oh yeah, everything is bad about the prequels, so just bashing them is the way to go.

He is 100% right on in his assessment (IMHO) when it comes to the light saber fights. Clones and Sith fights were downright computer generated and silly looking. Why do you accuse people of trolling because they do not agree with your opinion or visions of the films? That's not right. I personally like the prequels overall, although I do not revere them in the same light as I do the originals. They are what they are, decent films that did not live up to the legend of what was. Same goes for the new films, they will not live up to what was. They can't as this is a different era that we live in. No matter how bad people want to bring back 1977,80 and 83 it will never happen. I do hope the new films dial back more of a look of old though (SW and ESB), especially light saber fights.

This right here is the most ridiculous thing in any of the Star Wars movies. I mean what the hell is this? They are freaking Jedi Knights. Why are they acting like baton twirlers at a high school football game?

I wonder if Ewan and Hayden's arms will ever get tired. Heh

There is a sterile slickness to the prequel trilogy (especially Episodes II and III), but I still find the action to be entertaining overall. I think the upcoming trilogy will strike a nice balance between the original and prequel trilogy's action, so it'll be even better IMO.

That is a single second of footage put on loop to make it look funny.

In the actual film, it's Anakin and Obi-wan attempting to distract each other before trying to land a blow (seen in the next second of footage). They feign their attacks in the same way because it is a master and his apprentice, which is the point of the choreography. That sequence is meant to demonstrate their similar styles and strategies.

It is rather noticeable in the actual movie though - at least it was to me. It was like simply showing off, but served no real purpose.

I think the best saber fight in the prequels was between Anakin, Obi-wan (be it briefly) and Dooku in Ep II. The Phantom Menace got a little too acrobatic and fast IMO.

It was very noticeable and served no purpose whatsoever. I have read some excuses for it but really it was just fluff. I remember sitting in the theater and my friends and I were just laughing at that part.
