This scene has been universally laughed at, but by itself it's not enough to ruin a movie.

On another note, what do you all think of Yoda being able to reflect force lightning? Is he using the force or tapping into the darkside? It's interesting it's never discussed...

If by 'universally' you mean 'by some portion of the relatively small number of people who even paid it much attention in the first place' then yes, it was universally laughed at.

I mean everyone I've ever seen it with, makes mention of it because it has taken them out of the movie. Literally everyone I've watched it with.

I think the best saber fight in the prequels was between Anakin, Obi-wan (be it briefly) and Dooku in Ep II. The Phantom Menace got a little too acrobatic and fast IMO.

I saw it several times in crowded movie theaters. NOBODY laughed. Including opening day at the NYC Ziegfeld (in "Dolby Digital Cinema"). Nothing like a huge line with a cute reporter from CNBC waving a toy lightsaber. BTW: that line going down the *next* block.
