I'm very naïve, but is this good trolling or bad trolling? It's so over the top I'm not sure if it's supposed to be ironic or not? It's on par with stuff you see on YouTube, where everyone calls the guy a troll and he posts 800 comments later that he is in fact a troll and he's been fooling everyone with his magical troll ways, but has decided to "come-clean" for the good of the internet and our shattered psyches.

Not so sure about that, seems like they're doing everything they can to move away from the PT and the way "Lucas would have wanted" the movies to be. Although after finally seeing the Episode VII teaser in theaters last week, it looked exactly like the prequels, so I dunno where all that "everything is practical, we're going old-school" talk came from. I'm not expecting much.

Since when is giving an opinion being a troll? I don't get it but to each thier own I guess. I would assume anyone defending the PT trilogy or sharing thier love of the new editions of the OT is a bad thing? I just know that I love what I love and I truly believe George has done just about everything right. I hope the new films will meet those same high standards.

I like the CG'd special editions of OT better than the original versions in just about every way. So sue me! I also think the Lowry transfers hold incredibly well. Still a part of my reference disc group.

I also think that The Phantom Menace is a masterpiece and the most underrated movie of all time.

I'm ready to be stoned now, but it is the truth!

I too love TPM. It's not quite as good as Clones best film in the series but it's real close.

No, not at all, I agree with you. I've seen a few interesting movies from Criterion, but they're almost never the kind of movies I'd buy or be interested in watching more than once.

The snobby people I was talking about are like those types that pride themselves on their "unique and sophisticated" taste in movies, and think we're a bunch of plebs for not having the classics of the French New Wave in our collection of favorite films.

Just visit the Criterion and Twilight Time threads to see good examples of those.

Maybe it's more of Shia LaBeouf's "performance art".

Ewan McGregor might be helming an Obi-Wan Kenobi Trilogy!

I'd be down for that!

I'll tell you what:
If i saw in your collection all the bad B-movies I could understand it that you could consider the prequel trilogy best.
But seeing obviously that you have a taste and aesthetics in film, it's beyond me and I believe beyond every sane person, how do you consider the prequel trilogy better than the original trilogy and attack of the clones (which is always said to be the worst film of the series) as the best!

So, i really think it's a kind of gag or something of yours.

In Order:

Attack of the Clones
The Phantom Menace
The Empire Strikes Back
Revenge of the Sith
Return of the Jedi
A New Hope

Anything wrong with that list? Does that look like a gag to you? These are the ones I "enjoy" the most in order! Of course we can argue the merits of each film all day but this is what I prefer to watch.
