At least the 2004 Jabba has the correct number of fingers and his tattoo. Something goofed up on the 1997 SE.
It looks more advanced than the '97 version, but the colors and texture of the '04 version are all wrong. It looks like he's been baking in an oven for too long.

SRP is $129.99. Amazon just decided to lower the price on their own.

I would pre-order, but that would only help endorse the changes being made.

I really love Star Wars, but when there is talk of Yoda flipping and jumping with Luke instead of being carried, I'll stick with my VHS tapes.

however, according to that trailer... THEY DIDN"T FIX THE DAMN COLORS!!! DARTH VADER STILL HAS A WEIRD PASTEL LIGHTSABER!! ARRGGGHHH!!!!.

Okay, that's all. I probably would've picked up the OT set if they had fixed the color-timing, even with the '04 versions, but now I think I'm good. Everyone else enjoy the set.
Again. That's just a trailer. We have no clue what elements were used for it. It's all pre-existing trailer footage.

People complained about the footage of Aliens from the Blu-Ray trailer as well. But the final disc was great.

At last! The news I have been waiting for since I jumped on the Blu-wagon back in 2007!

I've pre-ordered the complete saga from Amazon UK for, what I consider to be the more than reasonable price of £69.99!

2011 really is shaping up to be a fantastic year for movies, games and digital media alike!

Beast,

Actually, I wouldn't bet on Empire of Dreams being included in this set...or any of the special features that are on the Star Wars DVDs now.

There were rumors a couple of years ago that when the Blu Ray set was released, it would be all exclusive content for this set...nothing would be ported over.

Now, I have no idea if they're sticking to that but I wouldn't sell those Star Wars DVDs just yet...

Yeah, sounds like something someone made up. Since we've been told the puppet in ESB and Jedi was remaining.

Though I certainly wouldn't object to Yoda hopping down from Luke. But I doubt it'll happen.

This will be interesting to see from a pricing standpoint i think.
They don't charge you until they ship it anyway.

Oh, I didn't plan to. I still have my VHS and Laserdiscs. But I certainly wouldn't object to it being included.

Yeah you could be right about that. I'll reserve judgment until we start seeing some real footage of the transfers.

I'm sure it's just a quick throw together trailer for CES.

Since it doesn't hype any of the extras, show anything but film footage, and doesn't even tease CGI E1 Yoda.

Beast,

Honestly, the Prequels are pretty extensive when it comes to special features on DVD, so I'm not opposed to porting that stuff over and just upgrading it to HD...(the web docs are killer).

But, if they do decide to do just exclusive stuff for this set without porting anything over, then it's going to be Pandora's box.

I mean, is Lucas doing new commentaries? Are any of the Prequel actors going to do commentaries?

I mean, what the hell else is there for the Prequels?

With the Originals, I'm sure there's plenty of stuff they can dig up.
