But, is it possible Kylo Ren is Luke ?

The fact that Mark Hamil's likeness is not on the Force Awakens poster and
not featured in any of the trailers ( maybe his hand ?)
- is odd to say the least !

Chewie, Han, Leia, C-3PO and R2 appear in both

What gives?

Kylo Ren is played by Adam Driver that being said Ren is tacked onto his name from being in the order the Knights of Ren I think it's very well possible that Luke could have created the Knights of Ren with other intentions but it went awry for him at some point.

Knights of Ren think they are the good guys they are just misunderstood #AllHailTheDarkSide

Also, can anyone that has actually bought this newer Complete Saga blu-ray set (the one with the embossed Darth Vader on the cover) tell me if the discs are all silver like the previous U.S. Complete Saga set release or if the discs have character images like the U.K. set?

I hate the character art on those UK discs.

Nah, J/K, this isn't Universal.
I don't know why people don't understand the fact that when a BD is re-released, it's not necessary intended for people who already have it to buy it again. It's released again in an "XX anniversary edition" because re-releasing it gets it prominent shelf position in the remaining physical retail stores and because it's considered a new release, so it gets reviewed, publicity; it's in the "Coming Soon" section of e-commerce websites and it gets placement on their home pages. This increases sales to new customers in a way that back-catalog titles don't.

I know many people here don't read, but if you buy a novel and it comes out the following year with a new cover and possibly a new foreword, do you buy it again?

Collectors have gone insane, but I don't care because when they multiple-dip, it helps the BD business.

Thanks but I'm not quite sure what you're getting at? I am sharing with friends via my Vudu account but you can't share Disney Anywhere. Only Ultraviolet. Do one of the other services let you share the Disney stuff?

Hey, you don't have to lecture me, I agree and have expressed pretty much the same sentiment before in this thread. I know the purpose of reissues and I couldn't be further from a "completist" who needs every edition of a movie I enjoy. I'll only double dip on a movie if the new edition is A) significantly improved in terms of PQ and/or AQ and B) if it's one I love enough to bother.

What I was saying with that post is basically that I'd like to have the "unaltered" pre-Special Edition versions of the movies on Blu-ray, and that I can't see Lucasfilm "cheaping out" and just reissue the current discs in new packaging for something as big as the 40th anniversary while we're in the middle of a new trilogy. But who knows, maybe they'll prove me wrong.

Also, I don't know if you meant to be condescending with the "I know many people here don't read" aside, but I do read actually. Not as much as I'd like to, admittedly, if we're talking novels.

I have this set and really like it but I'm hoping that they release a 4K blu-ray set in 2016! Can't wait for the new movie!

Haven't purchased it, probably won't. Got the original Anakin/Vader tan set back when it first released, and I doubt there's any actual difference between the data on those discs and these newer ones. But this image does seem to imply that the discs have character artwork, ala some cheesy TV show box set.

If you look closely at the the discs art in that image, you can see Japanese text underneath the Lucasfilm logo. That image is clearly taken from the Fox Japan version.

I have heard that Lucas destroyed all the copies, it exists as 4:3 Beta master or something like that which was used for the Complete Saga Boba Fett bonus material.

Kylo Ren is not Luke. He is played by Adam driver, and you see him without his helmet in the trailer.

Luke's not on the poster or in the trailer for a reason. It's one of the main driving points of the plot. Rest assured, Luke is in the film, and he'll be in the next one too. He's not secretly dead or anything.

Yes. The character artwork (again a holdover from the previous Saga release) was only on international versions. US discs are confirmed to be the same non-artwork (just title) as before.

Thanks, all. I saw that image with the Japanese text, and thought it was probably just an error. I figured if it was a reissue of the previous US release, it would probably have the plain silver discs, which look better in my opinion than the character art. I may get this set if the price comes down a bit.

Here's a theory.

Skywalker + Solo

Is Kylo the son of Han and Leia?

And could Kylo and Rey be twin brother and sister?

MIND BLOWN!!!!

You just took me back to 1979, speculating on Empire; could this mysterious Boba Fett be a clone of Obi-wan Kenobi?; yadda yadda...fun times!
