This site doesn't choose that wording, though; it presents what's in the press materials describing the release. The fault is with 16th Century Fox, not blu-ray.com.

Blu-ray.com has a database of thousands upon thousands of releases. They don't just manage Star Wars content. This "information" as previously mentioned, was taken from a press release.

The blurb can be added by anyone, I don't think anyone was trying to mislead or confuse people, it's just the same blurb for both releases.

If you're ever unsure, just ask in the thread, if it's popular title like Star Wars you'll get an answer almost immediately.

I didn't want to say anything, but the attack on Blu-Ray.com was disconcerting. Wasn't a secret the re-release was the same as the last only in new packaging. It was common knowledge. Instead of spending 10-20 minutes writing a screed, 60 seconds asking the community your question would have sufficed.

Funny how it always seems to be new members that are among the most critical.

How dare blu-ray.com post a press release about an item

there is no point complaining about how the original trilogy doesn't look like the theatrical experience. The Blu ray version is an updated and tweaked version and is the only experience George Lucas wants out there.

Does the recently released version in the standard blu ray case also include the little booklet provided in the initial release

George Lucas is a fool. Plus he didn't direct V or VI, so he really had no right to edit them. He's all about "the director never finishes a movie, only abandons it" but he didn't even direct two of them. He's a condescending jerk and his opinion of how the movie should be shouldn't count for squat! It's not even his company anymore, Disney doesn't need to listen to his crap.

This site's overview says the 2015 Vader box contains "never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes," ...
Do you have any idea how many times the words "never before on Blu-ray" is slapped on Disney movies that have indeed had a previous Blu-ray release? It's just hyperbole that studios have been doing for decades.

No the press releases were from 16th Century Fox. They still use carrier pigeons and smoke signals, so they're slow and very confusing.

Makes sense. Imagine if David Lynch had actually taken Lucas up on his offer...
