Uxi,

Episode II was the hardest to edit because of the script. Of the three prequels, it's the longest script, I think. But, the edit we have now is the right edit. It just needs to be tweaked on the back half of the film...

And yeah, I still think leaving out the scene of Padme going to her parents house was the absolute right decision.

They believe she's been hunted. Why put your family at risk by showing up to have dinner?

And, his "Yeah-hoooo" is far worse that little Anakin's "Yippee" any day.

Still love'em all though...bad dialogue and all.

Hoping to see a few new digital features:

1) On Episode I - watch regular version or use the new LucasVision button and watch sans Jar Jar Binks
2) LucasVision Prequel Remix - Automatically combine the prequels, excise the total crap (most in episode I), and re-edit II & III so everything is a bit more coherent.
3) Episode IV - LucasVision Interactive! - Watch Greedo shoot first - or watch Han shoot first - or watch them shoot at the same time! Or no shooting at all ! OR you, if you are quick enough with the remote, yes YOU can shoot first!
4) All episodes - LucasVision targeting assistance - with this feature turned on, the storm troopers can actuall aim and hit objects with their blasters!
5) All episodes - watch any version of the film at any moment - the possibilities are endless!

Really? No one is going to remember Hayden Christiansen in five years. I don't think he's a bad actor given the dreadful material he was given for "character development" but his delivery in any romance scene with Padme is atrocious.

Comparing his performance to Han effin Solo is insane.

Well, that's more like it. I was gonna say...$140 during a recession is marketing suicide. $90 is very do-able, but $49.99 on BF would be ideal. No way I would be able to wait, though. I saw Episode IV at least 15 times at the drive-in the summer it came out and have seen it a ridiculous amount since. What a timeless beauty Not so thrilled about Menace and Clones but Sith was ok so I'm in for the set.

Episode I is no more "Total Crap" than Episode IV is.

It's called a set-up movie. It sets up the Universe, the characters, and the situations.

It was done that way so that they could hit the ground running for E2 and E3. Without having to slow things down to explain how things work. Plus it's probably the best of the Prequel trilogy. Since it really gives us a look at the Universe and how things operate.

I am going to get the complete saga even though I didn't like the prequels. Have to have them all though.

Psst. It's already been more than 5 years since the Prequels.

And considering Star Wars fanboys knows the name of every actor, alien, and creature... there's no risk of him being forgotten. Especially when new fans are being created every day. People seem to certainly remember Sebastian Shaw, who did nothing but choke out a few lines and die.

And that's without even getting to how phoned in Harrison Ford's performance is in Return of the Jedi. The Ewoks were better actors.

I've heard better dialog in porn...
Believe me, that's Academy Award worthy stuff compared to The Last Airbender.

"It's time we showed the fire nation that we believe in our beliefs as much as they believe in theirs!"

Oh god, that was painful even writing it.

Anyway, I never really had that much of a problem with the dialogue in the prequels. Although I like to make fun of this particular exchange.

Anakin: Are you an Angel?
Queen Amidala: What?
Anakin: An Angel. I've heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They're the most beautiful creatures in the universe. They live on the moons of Iego, I think.
Me: I think those are called "Space Hookers", Anakin.

It's a no brainer, you don't get the extras if you do the two boxes, unless I misunderstood and your comment was sarcasm

Beast,

On point. The reason Episode I is more of a set up film than Episode IV is that Lucas didn't think Episode IV would be a hit. It's made in such a way to be a one and done.

With Episode I, Lucas knew he was going to finish the rest of the trilogy. If you know that going in, you can set up things properly from the get go.

Episode I has a falseness to it...but it's suppose to. The victory at the end of the film is hollow...and that's the point.

Remember, you don't get the bonus discs unless you order the complete saga.

Who said ignore them? I have them on DVD. Since you are a prequel fan, would you rather me watch them on DVD or not watch them at all? This is the same reason I bought the Clone Wars cartoons on DVD - it looks better on DVD with a bit more blur, pixilation, interlacing, etc...

Hahahaha, please.

Harrison Ford can hardly be expected to compete with the titan of acting that is Hayden Christensen.

Q: What's the difference between Hayden Christensen and Laurence Olivier?

A: NONE WHATSOEVER.
