I'm not preordering this. It will be much cheaper on Black Friday, and given that it's not really the version I want, I don't need it on day one.
You must not get around much. It's a common nickname for Sebastian Shaw's Anakin.

And there's no guarantee it'll be cheaper on Black Friday. Didn't happen with the Alien or Back To The Future sets.

The stores aren't going to bother heavily discounting something that is already going to sell like crazy.

I like all the films. As I've said in my previous post "the 1997 trilogy is my original trilogy" the 04's are part of the precual saga."

Regarding this ridiculous back and forth about the obi-wan 'higher ground' symbolism.

I felt it obvious that the Episode III finale referenced the finale to Phantom Menace. Obi-Wan knew how to deal with that move Anakin was attempting as he unleashed it on an unsuspecting Darth Maul in Episode I.

End of story.

It's been a common nickname since RotJ came out. Especially after Anakin got a figure in '84/'85.
Has nothing to do with it being a prequel board. So that's just a silly remark.

Also, just checked... the movies are now listed on the Top 10 Pre-Order & Sales List.

#1 - Star Wars: Complete Saga (#1 In Sales)
#3 - Star Wars: Original Trilogy (#23 In Sales)
#14 - Star Wars: Prequel Trilogy (#345 In Sales)

Whew, glad I'm only excluding one-third.

I would have hated to have the interweb revoke my True Fan credentials.

When do you guys think we can expect a Teaser Trailer for the Complete Saga in full 1080p????

The trailer currently online is terrible PQ wise.

F-ing 'ell! That is the second best news they could have come out with.Apart from an unaltered version of OT,this is great.Best of both worlds.Think I'll chip out for the OT.Let's hope the transfer is as good as our expectations-no wait, that is impossible.Strike that.Let's hope for a 5/5 in PQ&AQ

End of story.
So Master never told his Padawan about that fight? Fail.

It's the 'end of story' until Lucas decides to go back to it again. It's a major miss on his part. That's the real story.

I live for Star Wars but I'm not going to get too excited because these just won't be as perfect as they should be:

1. At least one movie will have the rear music channels flipped. Lucasfilm will claim it was "intentional".

2. At least one music cue will be partially dialled out. It will probably occur during the Battle of Yavin. The French version on the same disc will present the same cue properly.

3. The colour timing will be wrong in at least a few scenes.

4. At least one beloved moment will be ruined by George's tinkering.

5. This is Fox so the set will be presented in a rubbish cardboard package that scratches the discs.

6. This is Fox so the grandeur of the closing titles will be ruined with the message "English-US-Forced" across the bottom of the screen (during those movies which include alien languages, including A New Hope)

7. All the while I'll wish the original versions had been included. Without them this set is hardly "complete".

I could go on...

I think we may be seeing that as a teaser in the summer.Maybe in the cinemas before the blockbusters.

How exactly is it a major miss? Maul was smug and overconfident, thinking he'd won. So was unprepared for Obi-Wan's attack.

Anakin was cocky and believed himself to be the superior fighter. Note he even makes a comment that he believes himself a better swordsman than Yoda earlier in the film. Which Obi-Wan attempts to humble him for. Anakin was overconfident, much like Sidious/Palpy in RotJ. Obi-Wan warned him off, but Anakin... in his emotional state chose to push the attack and lost his limbs for it. It couldn't be more simple.

No doubt he told him. Student was arrogant enough to believe he could beat the master despite the advantage.

Considering he was complaining since EII that everyone held him back, even though he was supposed to be this "Chosen One".

Him ignoring what Obi-Wan was saying after all of his actions, it certainly wasn't much of a surprise.
