As punishment, the Gods cast a blight on Thebes. He's so shattered by his own guilt, he gouges out his own eyeballs...but he killed out of rage and pride, tried to cheat fate, and was ultimately forgiven.

Kylo is going to be a tragic figure, just like the grandfather he so wants to emulate.

Nah, they're just called the Knights of Ren in the concept art book to my knowledge.

Honestly I don't really care for The Force Awakens too much, so I'm sure the experts around here will have more details on them.

No, I've read Oedipus at Colonus, which you obviously have not, the third and final part of the trilogy. Oedipus argues his innocence for the sins of patricide and incest claiming ignorance, but he's still guilty of killing a man out of pride -- road rage, basically -- and by trying to defy the Gods. Through his own self-inflicted wounds and miserable sufferings and wanderings, the Gods grant him a blessing, that any state that accepts his body will be blessed. Next thing you know, everybody wants him to die in their land. Zeus himself gets involved.

The POINT is that in literature and art, characters have killed their own fathers and are later shown to be tragic and even sympathetic figures...you know...like Anakin, and I'm betting, like Kylo.

While reading some articles about the tragic loss of Carrie Fisher, I stumbled on this:

http://heavy.com/news/2016/12/carrie...a-organa-role/

Not trying to be disrespectful, but I am kind of curious how the character will be handled. Personally I feel a recast would be the worst option, with an explanation via dialogue only being slightly less worse.
So that leaves the CGI option. As much as the SW fanbase has been divided over the use of CGI, I'm wondering how this would be received if used?
I feel bad even thinking about this now, as it seems selfish on some level, but I'm sure it's in the back of many a SW fans mind.
Obviously using CGI to compensate for the loss of an actor has worked over the year. I remember when I first dad about it being done for The Crow, and it didn't really hurt the film IMO.
Very curious as to how this will be handled and when that info will be made available.

No, I asked as more of a suggestion (hence, 'please'). There's people who are getting annoyed by some of your bossiness and negative sarcasm though.

One of the earliest examples I can think of of a movie replacing a dead actor with a CG double was Oliver Reed in Gladiator.

I'm no expert, but Brandon Lee footage was repurposed in The Crow, but couldn't tell you if that was digital or just composited. There was also some awful vacumn cleaner commercial which put a cleaner in Fred Astaire's hands, which mortified me.

The "Complete Star Wars Saga" includes Episode VII, and will also include VIII, and IX (and probably X, XI, and XII).

I think they said this trilogy will be the last of the Skywalker saga.

Naah, dude. They're kicking around going to XII. Nothing firm yet, but LucasFilm is sandboxing it, and has been for the last couple of years.

Excuse me? Is George Lucas, you know, the creator of SW, involved with these?
Everyting from here on in, is fans doing their take on the SW legacy, not an integral part of the SW Saga.

Thank you for graciously letting me have my own opinion.

I agree with you. I like VII fine, but it's like the beginning of 'Phase II' of the Marvel movies. It's a different beast.

So stop watching them and complaining about them and mocking them. I'll move forward, you can keep watching Attack of the Clones. I'm responding to you, pal, you started this, laughing about Kylo Ren -- I'm telling you that you may not know what you think you know.

Lucas has been working with Disney since the early 80's. He created LucasFilm. He sold LucasFilm, LucasFilm is creating their own movies, the dominant complaint from people being they're too much like Lucas' movies! Kennedy can't win with people like you, so you know what? They ignore you. Gonna be a long decade, three movies in various stages of production, four more to come (at least). I don't know what to tell you, other than you need to get over the obssession with Lucas not being directly involved (although The Lord Creator Himself said he liked The Force Awakens and really liked Rogue One), otherwise this is going to be a very painful next ten years for you.

Dude, I have been attacked and ridiculed on here for years now, simply because I happen to like the prquels.
I can laugh at whomever I choose to laugh at.
I love I-VI, the true SW Saga, which this thread is about, and I'll keep watching them until I don't want to anymore.
I don't hang out in the TFA threads to trash it as you guys have been doing with the prequels all these years.
TFA has no place in this thread, since this is about The Complete Star Wars Saga Blu-ray release. End of discussion.
I sense a lot of hostility from you, so just meditate a little or sth..
They are only movies.
