Rogue One isn't very good, it's the worst Star Wars live action tie-in actually.

Talk about a loose canon.

P.s. It is not easy to multi quote so I paraphrased, guess that was worth you attacking me without mercy.
Calling me and/or my post a "true circle jerk" is treating me with "utmost respect"? Asking where the "fact police" are, when my post was presented as nothing but personal opinions...? I don't think "utmost respect" means what you think it means. And for the record, I'm completely calm.

I didn't like Rogue One either. I think it's the worst Star Wars film and it made me like the prequels better. I wonder how many people feel this way too. I haven't encountered many OT lovers who think the PT is a lot worse than the OT and Rogue One a lot worse than the PT.

I've only seen Rogue One once so far and I'd probably put it a little below Jedi and Sith, a bit above TPM and a good piece above Clones.

While Rogue One had its flaws, at least I was consistently entertained throughout. The PT could make no such claim, especially with all the "C-SPAN in Space" parts and anything having to do with the word "sand".

I truly think a hammer to my own face would be less pain then explaining this again.

Here let me break it down Barney style.

So there is more prequel hate popping up. You know the same as the thousands of pages before.

I jump up and make an example of this by saying an EXAGGERATION "oh this is a true circle jerk"...I could have filled in the blank on a number of ways to say it...but then I say...

Gee...or I could respect the opinion and not do such a thing!!!

So what do you do....how dare you say that about me..you are disrespecting me!!!!!

The "FACT" police was in regards to people that pin a statement I make as FACT and pushing my FACT on everyone else when I actually stated IMHO, I THINK...etc. Hell some people even quote this verbatim and still claim that I pushed my FACT on someone...even after I say...uh that was my opinion???

Am I getting through here? Is it making any sense to you????

I don't know how to break it down any further.

p.s. Now I admit fully, this wasn't the utmost respect, because instead of you actually reading what I wrote and making an attempt to comprehend it, you go on a personal attack brigade, and didn't even bother to look that the "circle jerk" comment was actually parroting another post before mine!

Here is a repost since you seemed to miss it....gee I wonder why?? Oh yeah, because I said it!!!

For all its focus on grand battles and epic journeys, Star Wars is essentially a political story. The politics of the galaxy far, far away take on many different forms, which is part of what makes them so ingrained into the plot of the series. Politics in the Star Wars films are at times nuanced and at times overt, but they are always crucial to the evolution of the story’s overarching conflicts.

While Rogue One is one of the worst ones, I still enjoyed it. Although it helps seeing A New Hope right after. I know I have said this before, but it is like a little mini seires.

I don't know why, but unaltered seems to work better with it.

Star Wars was essentially an adventure story. Galactic politics were barely a backdrop, let alone crucial. We were willing to take the crawl at its word and accept that the Empire was evil and the rebels were working to restore freedom to the galaxy.

'Freedom good, Empire bad' was all the politics we needed.

I bet if you totaled up the runtime of that stuff it would really say something.

That would require me to partially rewatch the PT, and forcing someone to do so is surely prohibited by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights or other similar legislation.

Are you kidding?
Star Wars is nothing but political! There is a government in place and there is a group of terrorists actively, constantly trying to bring it down. They make treaties with other worlds and acts of aggression against those that don't follow suit!
And that is just Episodes 4, 5 and 6!

I will always love A New Hope, but I prefer Rogue One. In fact, out of the original trilogy I prefer ESB and ROTJ over ANH.

And this is how vastly different opinions are in this place.

I certainly don't see it.
