Who knows what condition the deleted scenes are in. And if they actually were completely filmed.

But maybe he just doesn't want the option of you watching the deleted scenes with the films.

If you guys are talking about Seamless Branching in regard to the original versions and current version, it's pretty much impossible. There's too many minor changes in pretty much every scene to allow for seamless branching. Star fields where changed, wipes redone, ships recomposited, etc. Especially in the case of ANH. So even if Lucas accepted those cuts of the films, that wouldn't be an option regardless.

Plus, who knows. Lucas has messed up the original trilogy, maybe he'd be willing to do the same to the prequels, except try and make them a little better (doubtful, but still it's a nice thought).

I actually pre-orded BOTH "The Complete Saga" and "The Original Trilogy" and will make my final decision a couple of weeks before their release and cancel one or the other.

Most likey I will just stay with "The Complete Saga" and cancel the other one.

I guess I don't consider 16 year-olds to be "children." I thought you meant elementary school-aged children.

I would say that the original trilogy was also geared towards that identical audience... it's just that they've had 3 decades to grow up.

Definitely don't judge the series by that (terrible) film they released. The Clone Wars "movie" is nearly unwatchable, but the show really finds its own footing rather quickly and is (IMO) better than the prequels in many ways.

I wonder what lossless format will be on the disc. Fox usually goes with dts master but i read somewhere that George Lucas has some kind of deal with dolby. it would be nice to have the dts master of these but lossless on the whole will be an incredidible audio experience.

Maybe we will get lucky and get Linear PCM tracks. It's not likely, but here's to hoping.

Add Jaws to that list (which seems likely!), and I'll be set

Duh, that's what I meant. That would make more sense since SotE happens between ESB and RotJ.

And the Harry Potter books we're meant to be children's stories. Whatever. That didn't keep me from reading all of them, even years 1,2, & 3.

I didn't realize how many little changes there were until I visited that site posted in the other Star Wars thread. Like making the corridor longer in ANH when Luke & Han go to rescue Leia, or the hangar that the Falcon is in on the Death Star.

Never read a Harry Potter book and have no desire to. I have only watched The Sorcerer's Stone and after that I said no more.

That would make me happier than a hooker at a plumbers convention. (I have no idea what that meant.) "The Abyss" (DIRECTOR'S CUT) is my all time favorite movie!!!

I don't know if it's a good idea to release all of that Blu Ray goodness in the fourth quarter :
- Star Wars
- LOTR EE (maybe)
- Jurassic Park
- The Abyss (maybe)
- Indiana Jones (maybe)

If everything comes true, I really hope I'll be able to buy all of this. But I guess some won't be able to.
They should learn to space out during the year.
I really hope one of these will be released before July.

INDY is just wishful thinking at this point, but we can all hope. BEN HUR would be nice too.
