That's it.

Like I said. All the work connecting them is being done by some fans.
You can't be serious!

First, even it were only Anakin, THAT IS FREAKING BIG since it basically lead to the entire Skywalker saga!

Second, slavery has been referenced all over the place in canon, books, TV series and movies. The Wookies were held as slaves, Chewie himself was a slave, Anakin's mother was held as a slave a second time as seen and mentioned in "AOTC", "Solo" mentioned slavers and traffickers, numerous books mention the slave trade and mentioned how some Jedi, Padme, Anakin and others were uncomfortable with how the Republic looked the other way too often and did not do enough and that it was rampant in the Outer Rim, it appeared in the canon "TCW" TV series and I think in "Rebels" TV series too, the slaves at the Spice Mine's of Kessel were mentioned in the "SW" and "Solo" and in various canon books at the very least, slavery was shown in Jabba's palace in ROTJ, etc. etc.

Is it a stretch to call her costume the slave outfit? Isn't it canon that Jabba held her as a slave girl?

"With Disney's 2012 acquisition of Lucasfilm, merchandise featuring the costume ceased to be made, apparently in response to a Fox News segment in which parents described difficulties explaining toys featuring the costume (including a chain around Leia's neck) to their children. Fisher called Disney's decision "stupid," saying, "Tell [the kids] that a giant slug captured me and forced me to wear that stupid outfit, and then I killed him because I didn't like it."[24]"

You're still asking me to do all the work on the likely name Boba's ship.

I shall continue doing exactly nothing and remain quite certain that nothing is as important or as close to important as just knowing its Boba's ship and that it looks cool. That way, I'm not offended or making a big horseshit to do about nothing.

You'd think that they'd renamed Roy Rogers horse to "Background Check" or "Safety Catch" the way you guys are carrying on.

Because it's dumb and it won't magically change the IDE devices still marked as such in use.

You're assuming they would get triggered - and that these days they'd encounter it at all on the job with SATA and SAS and now M2/nVME the standards out there for current hardware.

I wasn't talking about just IDE devices, but all the terminology usages in tech that are actually being changed.

Was it bad for Twitter to have removed the "master/slave" terms in their code?

No, I already quoted black people saying they didn't like the terms and wanted them changed, sometimes actively doing so themselves.

Did George Lucas know he was going to redeem Vader while Empire was being written or did that idea come afterwards? I’m curious how far in advance he had the ending of the trilogy planned out.

Lucas was going to have Vader be evil at the end of Jedi but the technology didn't exist at the time.

I'm an idiot.

I purposely avoided picking up the 2011 release of "The Complete Saga" because I wasn't going to give George my money until the original theatrical cuts were released. Yeah, I'm an idiot.

It's become quite apparent we might never get the original theatrical cuts "officially" on Blu-ray or 4K. Therefore I'm now regretting my choice in not picking this set up, especially for the fact it has the original 'making of' featurettes included on this set.

I've scoured Amazon (all second hand sellers only left, not Amazon) and eBay, and I honestly don't feel comfortable purchasing ordering from those sites, as there seems to be a lot of bootlegs floating around out there. I'm also really picky, and would like to get a new/unopened/sealed set, the Digibook version with Anakin on the cover, and in excellent condition, if that's even possible 12 years later.

If anyone has one like this available that they want to sell, or knows where I might be able locate one at a reputable online retailer, please let me know.

The 2011 set is definitely worth it for the extras discs. With the the said the actual BDs are inferior to the new ones released in 2020. You might see if you can find the three extras discs individually from the 2011 set.

Chances are, you're not going to get a bootleg on ebay. You're not an idiot. Just buy it from someone that's listing it as "like new."

Hell, there's one sealed right now for $69

Are you committed to getting a new copy? Used copies are pretty cheap, and they're far more likely to be legit, since a pirate isn't going to want to sell their copy cheap as used.

Amazon has a lot of listings of used copies from Goodwill stores and Half Price Books. In fact, you may want to check out a local Goodwill, used book store, or pawn shop to find a used copy. See what their return policy is for defective discs.

This Google Sheet gives a good overview of what release has what extras. The 2020 discs have a fair amount of extras, but seem to be entirely missing the deleted scenes. Also, it looks like redeeming the digital codes for those discs gives you a few more extras on MoviesAnywhere.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...xWkFODAY6BUuKs

If you're gung-ho on a new copy, you could check smaller, independent retailers. Maybe a record shop or comic book store that also sells some Blu-rays.

Or you could look into importing a new copy from another country. Buyoyo has the Hong Kong release for $128.90 + shipping:
https://www.buyoyo.com/buyoyo/eng/Pr...06540&prtype=0

YesAsia has the Taiwan edition for $171.99 + shipping:

Lucas did include them as a bonus with the 2006 DVDs, but the quality was quite poor and cropped. They go for a premium now. Who knows what Disney will do in terms of release and mastering of the OT. I think either way, they would be exclusive to Disney+.

You can also look into Harmy's Despecialized Edition and Project 4K77 as well.

I see a few sealed Saga sets for around $70. Just check their feedback and you’ll be fine.

Gotta be careful and watch eBay auctions closely.

Here's a bootleg on eBay right here that comes up as one of the first listings when searching "Star Wars The Complete Saga Blu-ray."

I've got the Laserdisc Definitive collection, as they are the same transfers. I've also got both the 4K77 and 4K83. I'm really more interested in having the Blu-ray set because of the original behind-the-scenes featurettes that are included on that set. Plus it would be nice to own the prequels on Blu-ray at least, as I only have the DVD's in my collection; just haven't made the upgrade yet.

As for Disney and the theatrical cuts, my hope is that for the 50th Anniversary in 2027 we might get them, but I highly doubt it. I'm pretty sure Lucas made it that when he sold to Disney, the theatrical cuts can never be released without his approval, which is never, even after he dies. That's my guess anyways.

They weren’t cropped. They were 4x3 letterboxed transfers done for the 1993 Laserdisc release and thus not enhanced to fill 16x9 televisions properly.
