I've been rolling with the individual trilogies on Blu for years now, but this 2011 Complete saga set just came through the physical media store I work at.

Anyone out there have any horror stories regarding the paper sleeve style packaging? I'm heavily considering selling my two trilogy sets and grabbing the saga set.

I've had 0 problems with book style sleeves so you should go for it (especially since it includes some extras the Skywalker Saga set misses out).

according to the mirror online the original 77 theatrical release version of star wars is getting a short cinema release in the uk.

I haven't had any negative issues with my set. I'd say, go for it.

There shouldn’t be any issues. This set did it right where you lift them out of a cardboard page rather than slide them out.

everything looks legit but i cant find any info online about it. says it was released 2020 from what i could find online.

The Prequel Trilogy discs carry the "Amazing Life" THX trailer. The Original Trilogy discs carry the "Broadway Classic (restored)" THX trailer (the THX trailer with the blue rectangle). The trailers appear after the end credits, and are followed by an audio commentary notice and a warning screen.

The "Broadway Classic (restored)" THX trailer on the Original Trilogy discs carries the message "Digitally mastered for superior sound and picture quality", which appeared on the package artworks to THX-certified VHS tapes and DVDs released from 1995 to 2008, including Star Wars releases.

Both trailers are presented in 6.1 DTS-HD Master Audio (the surround back channel is discrete). The "Broadway Classic (restored)" THX trailer uses the "Deep Note" from the "Science" THX trailer from 2005 (the "Science" THX trailer appears on the original DVD release of Revenge of the Sith).

Hi, I’m at Half Price Books and I found this UK Prequel set that appears to have the Special features that were only on the DVDs. While I’m at the store, does anyone know if that’s what this set is, but on Blu-ray?

They weren't only on the DVDs. Although they were missing from the Fox "Saga" releases, they were added to Disney's releases on the BDs in the 4K UHD combo packs and their stand-alone releases as "Legacy Extras."
