Beast,

Again, this is why I don't watch Clone Wars...as much as I love the idea of the show and the animation and the look.

I know of already one or two continuity screw ups with that show that got me to look the other way.

And for me, I want no continuity screw ups with Star Wars. As much as I want to watch the Clone Wars, I'm sticking with the films.

That's the real story....

...Clone Wars is just padding. But, it's good looking padding.

Plus his surprise in E3 could also be attributed to the fact that Yoda's been visited by Qui-Gon also.

Clone Wars is pretty good with continuty. Like not having Anakin actually meet Grevious until Episode 3.
Exactly. They'll make it work. Very excited to see that episode.

Got it, and yeah I agree with you, that seems inconsistent (though I still like it).

There's screw ups in the films also. Like after R5-D4 blows his motivator, when C-3PO is suggesting R2-D2, it cuts to a shot of R2-D2 with R5 sitting next to him. Even though he shouldn't be there cause the Jawa's havn't brought him back yet. Wish they'd CGI out R5 in that shot.

But the Clone Wars series has been really very good with sticking to the film continuity.

Beast,

That's a technical, fimmaking process continuity error...not a story, thematic, or character continuity error.

Huge difference in my mind...

In one of the books R5 is a Jedi who blows his own motivator so R2 can join 3PO.

I've always found the bloopers/inconsistenices in the Star Wars saga to be one of the endearing traits...there are so many gaffs and errors that people can point out, but it's the Star Wars we grew up with. One of my personal favorites is when the stormtrooper hits his head on the door in the Death Star - classic!

It's funny that Lucas references that blooper in Episode II when Jango hits his head on the door of Slave 1 while on Kamino.

That's a classic. Unless the stormtrooper helmets have some kind of Iron Man technology in them I'm sure they have no peripheral vision at all....

Oh, yes, the "real life fact...." Sorry, I forgot about the real life facts in Star Wars.

You clearly missed his point. He's saying that in real life, at that time, the character of Gui Gon Jinn did not exist in anyone's mind.

Yes. Skippy the Jedi Droid. Another reason why the EU varies from ok to craptastic.

No, he's a new character. There's also Ubi-Won Kenobi, and Yado, not to mention Dorth Vader.

C3PO doesn't know who Princess Leia is when the message is played, even after referencing her in his first lines in SW. Leia mentions knowing her mother in RotJ, even though she dies seconds after the birth in RotS.

There's story errors all over the place, even within the films themselves.

Lucas may fix all these little gaffs and the OT may be unrecognizable. Perhaps Leia never knew she was adopted perhaps she's talking about her adoptive mother.... Then we have to fix Jedi and the Ewok scene.

C-3PO was lying about not knowing Princess Leia.
This is most lkely to to his programming to protect her being on board the ship.

Like you said, he knew who she was and even mentions her at the beginning of the film.

C-3PO: "They'll be no escape for the Princess this time."

And Leia remembers her mother due to the force. And because she was awake and her eyes open as an infant. unlike Luke

Yoda: "Through the force things you will see. Other places. The future, the past, old friends long gone."

Princess Leia: Luke, what's wrong?
Luke: Leia, do you remember your mother? Your real mother?
Princess Leia: Just a little bit. She died when I was very young.
Luke: What do you remember?
Princess Leia: Just... images really. Feelings.
Luke: Tell me.
Princess Leia: She was... very beautiful. Kind, but sad. Why are you asking me this?
Luke: I have no memory of my mother. I never knew her.

We know that Leia had some natural ability in the force.
Since she resists the torture and mind probes done to her on the Death Star without any training.
And also doesn't ping Vader's force sensitivity even though she's right infront of him numerous times.

So Leia's memories are coming from her connection to the force. She's naturally gifted in it, much like Anakin was.

There's probably a reason why Luke was sent to Tatooine and his last name wasn't changed.
Because Leia was likely the more powerful of the two. And Palpy and Anakin didn't know Padme was pregnant with twins.

She was the back-up plan in case Luke was discovered by the Empire or didn't work out taking down the Emperor.
