Yes. Before Grevious got away with Palpatine Mace Windu crushed his throat/lungs/windpipe with the force. I think they forgot about that though when they made the series or it's not as evident (he took a cough drop?).

Grevious was brilliant in the series the film not so much....

Slightly off-topic, but I think there should be more SW movies. They would make a huge profit, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't want to do them.

It's not that THEY don't want to do them but more that George Lucas do not want to do them. I am not sure why so many people seem to never remember that while he is alive, Lucas is Star Wars.

I'm sure that, at some point, that there are more Star Wars movies are coming. When George Lucas passes away, there is no doubt that there will be more movies ...

Plus, Lucas stands to make a lot more money if he decides to just do a series of stand-alone movies.

I just think a film that covers a gap does the story more justice than, say, a cartoon or TV series.

TV series do that in a much better and with less money to produce. You can have multiple 22 episodes seasons with the budget of one movie alone. The big advantage movies still have is the big screen effect that you cannot get with TV series. But the big screen effect is mostly a very short thing in a movie's life, you will always see the movie on a TV screen once the theater run is over.

I am rather happy they will go the live action TV series way instead of more movies. Only thing I wish they would have done is make a TV series about the Jedi vs Sith wars from 5000 years before, instead of the rise of the rebellion but that just a personal thing for me. I will enjoy the TV series I am quite sure.

This is not confirmation of anything. It's a rumor. Believe me, I'd love to see those things he talked about being fixed; I hope it's true. But stop presenting it as a fait accompli.

The cough was added late in filming for RotS. After Grevious had apeared on Clone Wars.

They had Mace do that to explain why he didn't cough in his earlier appearance.

But then I don't think the Samurai Jack Clone Wars shorts are official canon anyway. Thank god.

This is semi-off topic, but I own the soundtracks for all 6 movies on CD. I was under the impression that these cds are lossless versions of the score, but blu-ray discs always have soundtracks at far higher bitrates than a CD's 1.4mbps.

Will the blu-rays simply dump the 16bit 44.1khz stereo files into a 5.1 lossless remix, or are the studio masters actually higher sample rate, etc? I never got into DVD Audio and whatnot, so I'm not sure if CDs are in fact compressed or natively recorded at 44.1khz 16bit.

Beast don't get mad at me, but

They do there part in linking Ep II with III :3

I do think it was a smart move. But I think the new clone wars is better. I'm just hoping that when they end the show it ends right before Ep III starts.

What do you think?

That's what I am hoping happens. Since the SJ ones made the Jedi abilities too "Super Powersish".

The one with Mace Windu taking down that bigDroid Machine and stuff. Just corny.

I'm sure that's the plan. To wrap the Clone Wars series when it's done with the lead in to E3.

Because.... he was told by Lucasfilm that previous elements were used to assemble the trailer.

That's also why there's no new footage that hasn't been in a previous trailer.

Now, is this the same Home Theater Forum that endorsed HD DVD over Blu-ray and banned people who spoke up and disagreed with that?

This worked for fans of The Lord of the Rings releases.
I don't believe it did - I believe the issues with MGM were resolved to allow production of the Hobbit to proceed, and it has been decided to use the Extended cuts to promote Hobbit Pt. 1 when it debuts Fall 2012. All of our *****ing about the theatrical-only discs had little - if anything - to do with the discs receiving a release.

The same HTF owner who banned me for trying to edit and remove my own work...not for flaming, trolling, being unpleasant or anything. Just for *trying* to edit and remove certain posts. I was (apparently) bringing in a lot of traffic to the site with exhaustive animation and film analysis, I wanted to remove many of them for personal reasons, and instead of *helping* me with this, they banned me to stop me from editing my own work. Absolute *******s. True story, although it has little to do with the current debate.

Here, I did some research:
In the Home Theater Forum, where you said the "owner" "confirmed" something, I found this release by a guy named "John SM"
"There may be A New Hope..."

Guess what? He's quoting another site. Let's look at that one, huh?
http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/37...iv/index2.html

"Interestingly, it seems that Lowry Digital, the firm who restored the films for the previous DVD release are once again restoring the trilogy with a little more time up their sleeve than the 3 months they had to previously work within. Interestingly, Chairman John Lowry allegedly made comments that implied that they were also restoring the original cuts of the film too, but no announcements in regards to content have been confirmed. I guess this time next year we will know for sure... "

See any keywords here? "seems that"...."allegedly made comments"..."implied"...NO ANNOUNCEMENTS HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED...

So do you want to pretend "confirmed" doesn't mean "confirmed" still?
Nope. That's not the post that I was referring to. And had nothing to do with Lowry. This was in regard to the trailer it's self.

You could not be more right. It is sorta stunning people thought that New Line/Warners/whoever would release the Extended cuts of the LOTR films right away and not bother with the theatrical cuts. They didn't do that on DVD, and no matter what anyone thinks, a movie company is not your friend. They are there to make money. Thus double dipping. Besides, the extended cuts didn't win Academy Awards, the theatrical versions did. So, the film historians out there might want to get both...lol
